"I know you're an honest young man, Barrett. You don't have to say another word." Billy flashed Bonnie a smile. "Go get some rest. I'll arrange everything and send my men to you once it's done."
Bonnie knew that what she said had helped to dispel many of his suspicions about her. She pretended to be disheartened and sighed gently.
"It looks like you still don't quite trust me. I guess I'll go back and wait for your arrangements." With that, she pretended to slump her shoulders and walk off slowly.
Billy watched as she left. To his surprise, he actually felt slightly guilty.
Falcon saw his expression and couldn't help but ask, "I think Barrett is quite an honest young man, Billy. Perhaps I should've listened to you and not put him through this series of tests."
'After all, Barrett is obviously looking forward to serving Billy with all his heart. However, all he got in return was our lack of faith. Anyone would feel disheartened.'
"You might be right, but the tests weren't exactly pointless." Billy's eyes were sparkling with wisdom. "I could see just how loyal Barrett is to me from this incident!"
Falcon asked, "Should I arrange for him to work on the chip then?"

Falcon was puzzled. "Didn't you just say you know how loyal Barrett is to you? Why should we wait, then? Is it because you actually haven't trusted him completely?"
"I wouldn't say I trust him
completely, but I do trust him more
than I do the other people." Billy's
eyes looked mysterious. "What'
matters more is you, Falcon Do you
trust him?"
"Well..." Falcon hesitated. "I might've felt bad about testing him after I heard what he said. However, I think we should be more cautious when it comes to the chip."
"That settles if Billy already knew what was on Falcon's mind. "If you think we should tread cautiously, then we'll wait a little longer. After all, you and Barrett need to crack the chip together. I don't want both of you to not trust each other
Falcon replied, "Thank you for taking my feelings into consideration."
"It's nothing." Billy waved at Falcon. "I'm just going to come out and say it. I intend to groom both you and Barrett to be my assistants. You will have to remove any tension and suspicion between yourselves before you can work with each other.
Falcon nodded solemnly. "Alright. Understood, Billy."
"Great." Billy nodded slightly and said, "You should go back to your room and get some rest too."
Meanwhile, Bonnie was hiding in a corner not far from them. She eavesdropped on the entire conversation.
She stayed in the area to see how much Falcon's suspicion of her had been dispelled. That would allow her to adjust to the next stage of her plan. Falcon appeared to have not fully let go of his suspicion.
