Chapter 989: You are the Most Important Person to Ivan

Yanis didn't have much appetite and shook her head, "I don't feel like eating anything right now."

After responding, Yanis looked at the housekeeper and asked in a low voice, "When did Zane leave

this morning?"

The housekeeper replied, "He left around six o'clock. He said you should rest a bit longer, so I didn't

come to wake you."

Yanis nodded, "You can go about your business. If I get hungry, I'll let you know."

The housekeeper acknowledged and turned to attend to her duties.

Yanis moved to the living room couch and sat down, feeling a bit confused.

Her mind was a chaotic mess, replaying all the events like scenes from a movie, one after another.

Just then, her phone on the coffee table abruptly rang, pulling her back to reality. She raised her hand

and pinched her forehead before reaching for the phone. When she saw the caller ID, she answered

the call, "Bonnie."

On the other end of the line, Bonnie immediately asked upon hearing Yanis' voice, "What's wrong? Are

you feeling unwell?"

Yanis replied softly, "I'm fine."

"But your voice sounds off. Are you catching a cold?" Bonnie's worried voice came through the phone

again.

Yanis said, "It's really nothing. Maybe it's because I just woke up."

Hearing Yanis' explanation, Bonnie finally relaxed, "By the way, Ivan went back to M Country today. Did

he contact you?"

Yanis responded, "He just left my place a moment ago."

"I thought he wouldn't come to see you, but he did."

"Did he come to see you too?"

Bonnie answered, "No, he called me, and after that, he went to see you."

Yanis said, "He stayed for a while and then left. He didn't say much."

Bonnie softly said, "He's going to M Country this time, and who knows when he'll come back. He came

to see you because you're important to him."

At Bonnie's words, Yanis tightened her grip on the phone unconsciously. "He's important to me too,

regardless of any other circumstances."

Bonnie sighed, "Maybe it's fate. If there's really a next life, I hope you two will meet again."

Yanis smiled at Bonnie's words, "What are you thinking?"

Bonnie laughed too, "Just kidding. If Mr. Lawrence hears this, he might get angry."

Yanis continued, "He's already at the company. He's not at home."

After a pause, Yanis said in a soft voice, "By the way, I'm going to Burumal this afternoon with him. I'll

be back tomorrow afternoon. If there's anything at the store, give me a call."

"Burumal?"

Yanis confirmed, "Yes, we have a project to negotiate there, so I need to go and take a look."

"Did you decide to go yourself, or did he take you?"

"I volunteered to go."

Bonnie was a bit surprised by Yanis' sudden decision, "Why did you suddenly want to go to Burumal

with him?"

"I just realized that we've known each other for so long, but we've never been out together. So, I want

to go and have a look."

Bonnie understood Yanis' thoughts and responded, "That's good. You should go. I'll take care of things

here. You haven't taken on many orders lately, have you?"

Yanis said, "There's a new jewelry store in the city center that contacted me about purchasing some of

my goods. We're in talks, and I'll meet them when I come back."

"City center? Which store?"

"Prime Street, right across from Yun City Mansion."

"Oh, I know. They must be opening a branch. There's already a main store on SouthMount Avenue,

and they have branches in other areas of Manches City too. It'll be good if you can collaborate with

them."

"Yes, their offer is quite good."

"And what about Ivan's side? Are you planning to terminate the partnership?"

"Ivan said The Bexter Group is currently dealing with finished products. If I have new ideas, I can put a

hold on the collaboration, but if we need to, we can continue in the future."

With that, Yanis paused and added, "I was thinking of talking to the store in the city center first. If the

negotiations go well, I'll put a hold on The Bexter Group's collaboration for now and see how things go."

Yanis didn't want to have anything to do with Madison anymore. Even if it meant cutting off contact, she

still resisted any association with The Bexter Group.

Before, it was because of Ivan, but now that Ivan was in M Country, Yanis wanted even less to deal

with The Bexter Group.

Bonnie understood Yanis' feelings and said softly, "Then, follow your instincts. We can think about it

later."

Yanis nodded, "Are you at the store now or at home?"

"I'm getting ready to go to the store. My dad will come to pick up Mles, and I'll head to the store after he

takes Mles."

"By the way, I didn't feel comfortable asking you last time. Does Lawyer Phillips still contact you

frequently?"

Bonnie sighed, "I called you to talk about this."

"Yeah?"

"He called me last night and directly brought up the matter. He said he doesn't have to rush, but he'll

wait until I'm ready."

"Wait for you?"

Bonnie confirmed, "I've made myself clear, but he's still insisting on waiting for me." Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Listening to Bonnie's words, Yanis wasn't sure what to say for a moment.

Setting everything else aside, Yanis did have a good impression of Lane.

However, Bonnie's heart was set solely on Myles, and she wouldn't consider any other man.

"Bonne, I understand that you might not be receptive to my advice right now, but maybe you should

think about it slowly. Lane knows everything about you. When Mles grows up, he'll ask questions and

need a complete family. Are you really going to deprive him of that care?"

After Yanis spoke, Bonnie replied in a low voice, "I know what you mean, but I just can't

think about those things right now."

"At least, you need to have a plan in your heart. Mles doesn't know anything now, but what about when

he's older? You need to give him an explanation."

Children nowadays are quite sensitive. In school and when interacting with friends, they often discuss

their family situations. Even for kids with both parents, they might be labeled as having none just

because they haven't seen them.

Sometimes, hurtful words can leave a deep impact, and not everyone can remain unaffected.

Bonnie responded softly after hearing Yanis' words, "I understand what you mean, but I really can't

think about those things right now."

"Then, take your time to think, but don't just talk about it. Really think about it," Yanis said gently.
