I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 494 Sly

Chapter 494 Sly

The light sword from Roland's Sword could be compared to a physical weapon. Its speed was lightning-fast, and its force was lethal.

There wasn't enough time for Jonathan to launch another attack. Furthermore, all his attacks seemed futile against the sword's energy.

The light sword was so sharp that it could cut through any spiritual energy, and even elemental energy would be useless against it.

Right as Jonathan was close to dying under Roland's Sword, he let out the dimensional portal in the Blood Demon Seed in that critical moment. Then, he trapped the light sword in the pocket dimension.

Crack!

Before Jonathan could stabilize the Blood Demon Seed's pocket dimension, the sword's energy had broken through at incredible speed and continued charging toward him.

Jonathan's expression turned grim at the impending danger. In turn, he quickly amassed an Ice Shield for dear life.

The light sword stabbed into Jonathan's Ice Shield like an arrow, causing it to shatter as though it was a layer of fragile glass.

While Jonathan retreated with light steps, he amassed an Ice Column in midair.

Like an icebreaker, the light sword broke through everything in its path.

Dread flooded Jonathan at the light sword's insane power. His heart pounded furiously at the precarious situation. At the end of his wits, he took out the Dragon Binding Gloves from his spatial ring, putting them on.

As he continued his retreat, he didn't stop amassing Ice Columns to chip away at the light sword's energy.

When the sword's energy finally dwindled, he reached a finger out and tapped on the blade with a roar.

The sword's energy was tangible, like an actual sword. With quick movements, Jonathan struck the sword's weak spot.

Jonathan had used Heavenly Hook with that move, infusing a powerful spiral current into the blade. In a split second, an ear-splitting screech echoed from the sword.

At that same time, he sensed an overwhelming force counteracting his attack. The vibration was so intense that his finger hurt.

Shortly after, he clenched his fist and punched at the sword.

With a loud bang, the sword shook violently and let out another loud screech.

Jonathan finally learned the sword's weakness. The sword's powers were lethal against every other energy matter as it could disintegrate them. Since the blade was Roland's, naturally, it was imbued with Roland's vitality, which enhanced its powers and rendered it invincible.

However, Jonathan's punch wasn't merely comprised of energy. It was also a physical force.

Moreover, his punching force embodied the power of internal-style martial arts to disintegrate and crush other objects.

The internal-style martial arts were incredibly mysterious. It could grind, crush, and destroy Force. It was an ever-changing technique.

“Break!” Jonathan shouted and grasped the sword with his hands. A second later, a loud crack echoed, and the light sword crumbled.

To defuse the energy of Roland's Sword, Jonathan had used all the cards up his sleeves to save his life.

However, all that effort was simply to defeat one light sword from Roland's Sword. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

That realization dawned upon him, and he didn't dare to underestimate Mona again.

Silvius felt chills running down his back at the same thought. As expected of a sacred relic, Roland's Sword can destroy everything with incredible ease!

“You better surrender now, thief! The next burst of sword energy isn't something you can defuse. I advise you to value your life!” Mona warned coldly.

Jonathan didn't respond. With a clench of his jaw and a swing of his hand, he threw another Stormwind Fist toward Mona before turning around and fleeing the scene.

He realized his earlier thoughts of going up against Mona were too naive. His only choice was to flee and find a method to deal with Roland's Sword. Otherwise, he shouldn't engage in another battle with her.

“D*mn it!” In the blink of an eye, Jonathan had raced over a kilometer away. Anger flowed through Mona at his cowardly action. He only dared to make such a bold move like this because he knew I wouldn't kill him. He has slighted Theos Lynn too many times, so the person she hates the most is him. If I end Jonathan's life like this, it won't diminish her hatred and anger.

At that moment, Mona kept away Roland's Sword and gave chase by conjuring a dimensional portal.

Jonathan had gotten a fair distance away when a dimensional portal appeared in front of him.

He knew things were turning south for him since Roland's Sword had damaged the Blood Demon Seed, and the latter could no longer be used. At that moment, he was powerless against the dimensional portal.

Right when Mona stepped out of the dimensional portal, Jonathan hurriedly descended to the ground below.

I can't be a goody two shoes and follow the rules now. I need to get to a crowded place. Regardless of how domineering she is, Mona won't dare to massacre the people of Lerton mindlessly. I hope she does do that, though, since that will incite Narma's wrath.

When Mona saw Jonathan was fleeing downward, she knew he was planning something again. He wants to distract me.

Conflicted over not killing him, Mona continued to conjure dimensional portals, but every time she came out the other end of the portal, Jonathan would change his direction of escape.

Before long, Jonathan had descended into Lerton.

By then, he could care less about the laws of Lerton and barged into one of the shops.

The weather in Lerton that day was perfect. The sun shone brightly, and the sky was a clear blue with white clouds.

When Jonathan stepped into the shop, Mona was right on his heels. He noticed it was a clothing store, and several customers were inside. The store manager was enthusiastically assisting them.

Jonathan leaped forward and concentrated elemental energy in his hands, lifting almost all the clothing into midair.

All of a sudden, the entire store was shrouded in darkness.

Soon after, Jonathan smashed through a wall and slipped out of the building.

Dust flew everywhere within the store, reducing visibility and creating havoc. The scene was utter chaos.

Jonathan slipped out of the store and arrived at the neighboring street.

Mona was right behind him. Seeing that, Jonathan threw another Stormwind Fist at her.

Stormwind Fist gathered a group of dark clouds with lightning weaving through them as though divine dragons were cutting through the clouds. Like an impending storm, the deafening thunderclaps were terrifying.

Mona conjured a dimensional portal instantly and disappeared through it. The Stormwind Fist struck the air, destroying the buildings at the back.

The force of the attack was more powerful than that of a high explosive.

Clouds of dust flew everywhere, causing panic among the crowd.

All of a sudden, all one could see was dust.

It was Jonathan's intention, despite knowing that unleashing that attack in a bustling city would trigger mass hysteria and hurt many innocents.

However, Jonathan was left with no choice. If he didn't create chaos, Mona would catch him, and he wouldn't have a chance to turn the tides.

The rules of Lerton were strict. Jonathan figured the situation would be in his favor if he broke the rules and caused a commotion. That way, he would find the silver lining in the chaos.

One had to praise Jonathan's swift thinking.

Clouds of dust, fearful screams, angry cussing, and loud noises—it was a scene out of an apocalyptic

movie.

Even in unaffected stores, the workers and customers had fled the area.

It was complete chaos. Jonathan took the opportunity and blended into the crowd.

Many of the customers were highly-skilled delinquents and old mages. They would mercilessly attack anyone who bumped or slammed into them. That, in turn, drove the scene into further chaos.

Amid the mess, Jonathan quickly wielded the elusive force of Shadow Punch. No one could stop him as he cut through the crowd like a slippery eel.

Helplessness washed over Mona.

Her only choice was to cast a powerful spell and obliterate everyone there. However, that wasn't an option since many old mages and highly-skilled individuals were at the scene. Naturally, they would fight back if she attacked.

Plus, killing that many people, with businessmen among them, was going against Narma's rules. He would certainly hold her accountable.

Besides that, Lynn's primordial spirit was still within Mona's body.

That meant Mona represented Lynn. The image of Lynn was compassionate and holy. If news of her massacring innocents spread, she wouldn't have a reasonable explanation to convince the public.

Mona urgently leaped into the air and focused on the situation below while unleashing The Void

Manifestation. She needed to seize Jonathan the moment he slipped out of the crowd.

Mona's hatred toward Jonathan grew exponentially by that point. She wanted nothing more than to slaughter that man with a wave of her sword.

After a long while, Mona finally caught Jonathan fleeing away. Her gaze turned glacial as she pursued him. She didn't attack rashly, planning to lunge the minute Jonathan was in a desolate area.

A few minutes passed, and the look in Mona's eyes changed. She descended onto the ground and seized the fleeing Jonathan.

However, in the next second, she recognized the person wasn't Jonathan. It was an unknown man clad in Jonathan's clothing.

It was evident that she had fallen for Jonathan's trick.

The unknown man was under Jonathan's chaotic energy's control. Jonathan had engraved a command in the man's mind to flee the area.

Mona's gaze turned icy. “D*mn it!” she cussed as her rage burned brighter.

Jonathan had used the same trick as before. It wasn't that Mona was dumb to fall for it again, but under that kind of circumstance, a human's mind was programmed to give chase without a second thought. That was habitual thinking.

Like a scene in an infamous spy movie, when the spy plunged into the water with his car, a surfeit of agents encircled him from above. In that precarious situation, he pushed a corpse to the surface,

tricking the agents into ridding the body with bullet holes. The spy and his partner used that window of opportunity to escape.

When his partner asked the spy why the latter was so confident the agents would take the bait, the spy said the agents wouldn't contemplate the possibility that the body floating to the surface wasn't his.

The same situation applied to Jonathan and Mona. If Jonathan wanted to kill an enemy of his like Edward, the former would fall for the same trick and pursue the escapee when he spotted Edward running out of the crowd from midair.

Mona quickly left the area and met up with Silvius. Silvius had been watching the entire scene from midair, so he kept his guard up. “Can you find out that thief's whereabouts immediately?” Mona questioned.

Silvius answered, “I'll have to ask Karl about it.”

Mona nodded and responded, “I'll go with you.”

Silvius replied, “But, Your Holiness, my Creation Gem—” He was distressed that the Creation Gem had received permanent damage. It was a terrible calamity for him since he was only there to aid her in capturing Jonathan. Naturally, he would ask Mona to compensate him for the loss.
