Chapter 12
Chapter 12
JENNIFER'S POV
Once I was sure of Sameera being fine in the car, rolling down one of the windows a little for her, I went back to the gates of hell.... The Devil's Den. I spotted two girls probably of my age standing there. One was Jamini, whom I was familiar with. The other girl was dressed in a shimmery violet one piece skirt reaching to her knees with a high ponytail.
She looked elegant from a distance atleast. I reached there. Jamini introduced me to Amy and she gave me a bear hug. I smiled awkwardly. Then taking the passes from Jamini we made our way inside the club, this time from the main door.
We didn't have to wait in the long queue because of having those 'gold stamped' royalty passes. Luckily, the black jacket did an excellent job in hiding the holster and the walkie-talkie, which I had kept fastened to my waist.
We made are way inside.
Haven't these assholes ever seen a normal human female to be walking on her two feet?! I screamed in my mind.
"Wow!! Oh my God... These guys are really checking you out!!" Exclaimed a supper excited Amy. I gave her a weak smile in return.
We got inside that very 'chamber' of the club from where I almost stormed out not really knowing that I will have to return again in these very skinny clothes of Sameera. This time, all the people there were having a gala time, moving their bodies with the loud thumping of the music. Some guys were chatting while sitting on one of the round, wooden tables places near the bar. Some of the youngsters were having a competition of drinking maximum no. of shots. The dance floor was full of sweaty bodies
jostling against one another as they danced hard. The fancy lights lit up the whole place taking the ambience to another level. The smell of expensive liquor filled the air leaving me choked.
Luckily, whole of this area was smoking-free zone or I would have been puking my brains out by now. There was a different section altogetherly, towards the well maintained garden which was exclusively for smoking.
Whoa! No one has really recognized me till now... I need to keep my appearance under wrapps. I reasoned.
Both the two of us made ourselves comfortable on the bar stools while facing towards the main stage of the strippers. While I was looking for our prey to catch hold of and attack, Amy was busy drooling over the interiors of the pub along with fantasizing about having designer outfits like the other women there!
Typical teenager trapped in the body of mid 20s woman... I thought.
Still, even after a search for 15 minutes, I couldn't spot Mr. White. After taking a few sips of my mango punch, I ultimately spoke, " Amy, we don't have a millennium with us to find our White. I appreciate your guts of joining me on this mission but now, please focus on-" I got interrupted by her shriek.
"OH MY GOD! LOOK JENNIFER! HE.... The ultimate God of sexiness!!" She squealed clapping her hands.
"Huh?" I was confused.
"WHOA!!! That super duper hot guy has his eyes glued on you! Really... He Is Drop Dead Gorgeous kinds! He's not even subtle with his staring!" She was certainly exaggerating. A can't be man be this much striking... Umm, RIGHT?
I looked around me. "No. Not here. That hunk is stanfing on the first floor over there!" She said pointing towards thr VIP booth present on the first floor of the pub.
I followed the line her eye sight and finally spotted him.
A TRUE MARVEL.
He was sure to be a bit taller than 6 feet. He had a broad figure with well defined muscles. He was leaning against the railing with a cigarette in his right hand, puffing it occasionally and all this time, his gaze was fixated over me. True... he was boldly staring me!
Is he allowed to smoke here? I thought.
This guy was really a great creation of nature. With bold masculine features, he was quite dashing. No. Dashing could not match his standards. He was magnetic. Those chocolate brown eyes were taking a note of each and every movement of mine, each and every breath, the heaving of my chest, slight bouncing of my now messy locks of hair, my trembling lips...
He was one of those who could make each and every person turn their eyes towards him. Even in the casual sky blue shirt and black pants, he was looking sizzling. Some of his jet-black hair were falling on his eyes, giving him a rugged look. And the stubble he had on his chiseled face was damn hot!
Who is he? What is he doing in the VIP booth? Is he yhe manager here or some businessman... Or an actor? But, he has got some looks for sure!
I didn't want to accept the fact that I was still not able to turn away. I was still staring him, full of awe and...... familiarity?
Have I seen him before? Something about him reminds me about my past about which even I am not clear....
He smirked and slowly tilted his head to one side. And God! A dimple surfaced on his right cheek.
" WHEW!! That's hot! Both of you are having quite a lot of staring competition. The sparks are enough to burn this entire place!" Amy said with a girly giggle.
I smiled to ease out the thickening tension between the two of us. But that made his sexy smirk dissapear with a stoic, poker face staring me now. That shook me from the core. I was no longer in a position to hold his burning stare.
I anxiously but still reluctantly too, jarred myself out from that strange trance, forcing my eyes to move away from that stranger. Just then, suddenly a pair of brown eyes flashed in my mind.... Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
I looked back at the spot where he had been standing, but he was gone by then.
Those eyes! Have I seen them before? No! I have never seen this man before! Yes... never. And, there are many brown eyes in this world! He is not the only one!
I mentally thought.
Then quickly finishing my drink, I instructed Amy," Okay so.. We need to focus! Understand!? I shall take the right exit from the DJ's seat over there while you keep posted here and look for him." I said pointing towards the staircase which was near the VIP booth, leading to the DJ where he had been playing the remixes.
"For whom? Our prey or your...?" She quipped with a knowing smile. I was beyond flustered!
"Enough Amy! Concentrate." I retorted.
"Okay! Okay!"
Then dividing ourselves between the two floors of the pub, we began our search.
