His Cure

Evidence

#Night.

..

6:50pm.

..

Beatrice circled around in her room.

She was fidgeting with her phone and puffing out hot air from her mouth every intervals.

Zack told her he would come pick her up instead of sending the address.

According to him, that would be better.

She glanced at the wall clock.

6:54pm

She walked to the mirror to stare at her dress again.

Why is she so nervous?.

Even her hands are watery.

This is not the first time she would be going out on a date with a man so why does she seems so worried?.

She wore just a normal crop top and a handkerchief skirt.

She had applied a neutral make up on her face but now she is feeling worried over that too. She shouldn’t have applied anything.

She touched the ear spike earrings on her ears and sighed.

“I hope I am not too dressed up. This is just a thanksgiving date.”she sighs.

She was putting on black sneakers too.

She had her hair packed into a ponytail.

The few strands of hair on her forehead curled up.

She checked the time again.

Two minutes to go.

Somehow, she has started developing cold feet.

Her meeting with rich men never ends well.

Zack is also a wealthy man. What if this is a trap?

She shook her head energetically.

She decided to focus on the positive side.

She would get the fun she wants with him.

She cupped her cheeks and offered herself an assuring smile.

Well.. just in case, she has slipped a pepper spray that she always carries around because of perverts in her bag.

If he tries anything funny, she would just squirt some in his face and take the moment when he is in pains to escape.

She clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes.

What if Gregory finds out about this though?

He probably won’t. He has been in his room the whole day. The project he is working on must be important.

She will go and come back without him noticing.

She balled her hands and raised it up a little and pressed her lips together.

“Yes. We can do this, Beatrice.”she whispers to herself slowly.

She stared at her phone screen and saw the big zeros.

Oh, no.

Time is up.

She took a final look at herself in the mirror and breathed in.

“Go and make yourself happy, Beatrice.”she stepped out of her room.

She glanced at her left and right before shutting the door silently.

She walked with baby steps past the rooms and took the staircase.

She was already at the entrance door when she heard someone call her name.

She ate her lips anxiously before turning back.

She jerked back a little when she saw Melinda.

“Ah.. Melinda, what are you doing here?”

“Are you going out?”she observed.

“Uhm, yes. I’m going out with my friend.”she lied without blinking.

Melinda nodded.

“Okay, then. Have fun.”Melinda grinned.

Beatrice nodded slowly before walking out of the door.

She looks like a trustworthy person. She believe she won’t rat out on her.

Maybe she is overthinking things though.

She couldn’t have seen beneath her lie, could she?

Besides, she told her she is going out with a friend.

“Are you going somewhere, ma’am?”a voice jolts her out of her reverie.

She stopped walking and poked her nose a little before looking at the direction the male voice came from.

Her gaze lands on a towering figure and her brows went up on their own.

His face was tight but calm.

She glanced around at other guards.

“I’m going out.”she replied.

“Where?”he persists.

“Out.”she scoffs.

“Do you really have to know the exact place I am going?”

“It’s the order from above. We..”

“I’m going out with my friend. Happy?. Don’t try to stop me.”she said sternly before marching away.

She got out of the gate and spotted a blue car.

The window slides down revealing Zack.

She sighed before striding to the car and got inside the passenger seat beside him.

“Welcome.”he smiles.

“Well, let’s get this done with.”she chimed.

He drove to a restaurant and Beatrice sighed again.

She is having a mixed feelings about this.

Zack came to open the door for her and she got down.

She didn’t even know why she waited for him to do that before getting down.

They moved inside the restaurant.

The receptionist recognized them at first glance and directed them to an empty room.

He seems to have made reservation for that in advance.

They went to sit at the table by the window and as a waiter approached them, Beatrice threw her head to the side, scouring the whole room with her eyes.

“Good morning, sir, and ma’am. There is our menu lists on the table. Pick any of our food you would like to taste and let me know so I can bring them to you.”he said politely.

Both of them picked the card before them at the same time and Zack chuckles at the exhilarating coincidence.

Beatrice ran her eyes over everything that is on the list and huff lowly.

“Steak, Ribeye, Salmon, Chicken piccata, Filet mignon, Lobster, Shrimp scampi, Chicken parmesan, Lobster bisque, Prime rib..”she stopped reading and sighed.

She raised up her head to find both the waiter and Zack’s gazes on her.

She flashed a smile at them.

“I will take chicken piccata and… steak! Then salmon.”she said to the waiter.

“Noted, ma’am. What about you, sir?”

“I would like Ribeye.”he responded.

“Alright. I will be back shortly.”he bowed and left.

Beatrice sighed and relaxed back in her seat before chuckling.

“I ordered three different foods when you that brought me here only ordered for one.”

Zack pursed his lips together and smiled.

“I honestly do not mind.”

“That makes you a gentleman then.”she leaned out of her chair then brought her phone out.

She took some pictures of him and grinned.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

“What for?”he scoffs.

“Evidence.”she replied and tucked her phone back in her bag.

“Evidence?”

“Evidence that I have repaid you.”she smirks.

“I shouldn’t make the same mistake over again, don’t you think?”she narrowed her gaze at him.
