Chapter 476 Pure Rebelliousness

“She’s asleep,” Josiah replied lightly. “Focus on taking care of yourself first. Stop worrying about others all the time.”

At that point. Lysander had no energy left to worry about others.

“By the way, I want to tell you I went for a gastroscopy. They found two ulcer lesions, but the doctor said they’re not serious. I’ve already started treatment.”

Lysander gave a soft hum of acknowledgment, then snuggled deeper into the blanket.

Josiah asked, “Are you cold?”

“I’m not sure what’s going on. I was feeling quite warm just a moment ago, but now I suddenly feel cold.”

Josiah stood up, meticulously tucking her in with the blanket.

His hands were braced on either side of her as he hovered just above her. “And now?”

“That’s enough” Lysander realized that they were a bit too close for comfort and gently pushed him away. “You should get up now.”

Before she could even finish her sentence, she was abruptly cut off.

Josiah pinned her arm down through the blanket. “Don’t move. You’re cold, aren’t you? The cool air is seeping in.” This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Lysander felt as though she were a mummy, tightly swaddled in the blanket, unable to move.

This sense of constraint made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

“Get up,” she said.

“Stop moving.”

“Fine, I won’t move.”

After thoroughly studying her eyes for a moment, Josiah confirmed her willingness to comply before he finally eased up on his control over her.

The next moment, Lysander was about to roll away with the blanket to escape from his control.

However, Josiah moved even faster. With a swift reach of his long arm, he pulled her back, blanket and all. He then half–covered her with his body, pressing down on her heavily. With a hint of annoyance, he asked, “Why are you running away? If you keep messing around, you’ll catch a chill again.”

Lysander attempted to struggle, but it only resulted in her being restrained even more forcefully.

She gritted her teeth. “You’re suffocating me!”

Josiah was also annoyed. “If I don’t hold you down, you’ll just keep fidgeting. Are you a worm or something? Stop squirming… just stop!”

This time, Josiah remained silent, merely increasing his strength, pinning her down so she couldn’t move

at all.

“Jo-”

As soon as Lysander began to speak, she found his face was already incredibly close to hers.

If she struggled any further, her lips would brush against his face.

The distance between the two was so close that they could clearly hear each other’s breaths.

Perhaps it was due to their recent wrestling, but Josiah’s shirt was somewhat disheveled. His collar was slightly open, revealing his robust chest. From her perspective, she could just make out the faint outline of

his abs.

He had clearly exerted some effort as well, as he was slightly panting at the moment. “Still going to move?”

As soon as he spoke, Lysander instinctively turned her head, feeling the warmth of his breath against the back of her ear.

It was scorching.

Subconsciously, she turned her head, intending to avoid it.

However, Josiah misunderstood her, thinking she was going to resist again. He growled, “I dare you to move again!”

“Why are you mad at me?”

“Because you’re misbehaving.” Josiah muttered under his breath, “Stay put.”

“Josiah!” Lysander was livid. “Don’t you have anything better to do? Your girlfriend’s having a rough time with her period; can’t you go and take care of her? Must you insist on bothering me?”

“She’s far more obedient than you. When asked to eat, she ate. When told to sleep, she slept. Unlike you, who is practically overflowing with pure rebelliousness.”

“If she’s that great, you should hurry back and stay with her!”

“No.”

Astonished, Lysander asked, “What did you say?”

“I don’t want to go back.”

Perhaps it was due to the surge of emotions, or maybe it was because the combination of the blanket and his body was just too warm, but Lysander’s face was flushed. When she was slightly irritated, her eyes sparkled exceptionally bright, making her entire demeanor incredibly lively and animated.

Josiah found himself in a daze as he stared at her.

“I should have never agreed to come to this hotel with you two. Being bossed around like a servant in the middle of the night, and now, I can’t even get some sleep… Mmph!”

Her nink lins moved as she ranted, their numbness aptivating.

Josiah wasn’t really thinking as instinct led him to lean in for a kiss.

Lysander was stunned for a moment before she began straining every muscle to push him away. However, her struggles didn’t inflict the slightest harm on him. To Josiah, it was as if he was holding a disobedient cat in his arms.

“Jo… you… ah!”

Struggling to avoid him, Lysander reprimanded through her gasping, “There must be something wrong with you!”

Josiah momentarily relaxed his lips, but the fiery passion surging in his chest could no longer be suppressed.

Long–held yearning and desire intertwined within, clamoring inside him, yearning to break free, to erupt and release!

“Not yet,” said Josiah. “But we’ll see how I am with the flu tomorrow.”

“Josi-”

Naturally, Josiah was not inclined to heed her words, persisting in silencing her.

Lysander wanted to turn away, but each time, Josiah relentlessly caught up with her. His control over her body left her immobile, and all she could do was to frantically toss her head around.

Josiah had been passionately kissing for a while before he suddenly broke into laughter. “Your neck is quite flexible.”

Lysander was panting heavily. “I can’t breathe through my nose! If you keep this up, I’m going to die of suffocation!”

She wasn’t lying or exaggerating.

From the moment she started speaking earlier, her voice had been somewhat nasally. Now, she was breathing heavily due to a lack of oxygen. Even through the blanket beneath him, Josiah could feel the forceful rise and fall of her chest.

Josiah gently propped himself up, leaving her some space.

Yet, he had no intention of leaving.

The person was right, the timing was right, and the feelings were right. Who could possibly remain calm. and composed in such a situation?

After a brief pause, Lysander finally managed to steady her breathing.

“Josiah, have you forgotten that you’re still engaged? If you’re feeling amorous, go back to your fiancéel”

“I haven’t forgotten.” Josiah lowered his head again, pecking her on the lips. “She’s having her period, isn’t she? It’s not convenient.”

Upon hearing this, Lysander’s anger flared even more. “So you’re planning… to continue… huh?”

Josiah watched as her eyes widened in surprise, his ile deepening. He remained silent, gazing at her

slightly swollen lips.

“Josiah! You promised to leave once the water started boiling!”

“Oh right, I forgot the water’s still boiling.

Keeping her pinned with one hand, Josiah effortlessly reached out with the other to unplug the kettle and casually toss the plug aside.

“Always remember to stay safe,” he said.

Lysander was so frustrated that she gritted her teeth till her jaw creaked. “Josiah, don’t push me to curse you!

“Go ahead and curse all you want.”

“Y–You’re such a jerk!”

“Hmm, I’ve heard that insult quite a few times already. Got anything new?”

“You son of a b*tch!”

“Hmm, that’s something new.”

The more Lysander thought about it, the angrier she got. “B*stard!”

Josiah enveloped her completely, like an intricate web. He confined her in the small space against his chest, their breaths intertwining.

Fire began to dance in his eyes.

“Amelia was right,” he said, his eyes shining with an astonishing brightness. “Being gentle with you useless as you don’t see it or accept it. Even when you see it, you remain indifferent. Only when I get rough. with you do you react”

“Are you sick or something, taking pleasure in being insulted?”

Suddenly, Josiah’s brow furrowed. “What is this?”

He reached out, slipping his hand under the blanket.
