Chapter 775 Meet in the Airport
Chapter 775 Meet in the Airport
Stella complained sadly. And to Stella’s surprise, Rufus sat up and stopped the footsteps of Stella.
"Stand still and don't come any further."
"What are you doing here? Go home. I don't want to pass this cold on to you. If you catch a cold at this
time, it will do great harm to the baby's health."
"Paul, hurry to send Stella back. Let her come back in a couple of days when I'm better."
Rufus commanded Paul in a resolute manner. Stella was pregnant, she could not get a cold.
"You shouldn't have let her in. Stella, I'll take you home."
Paul said to Stella, but Stella had not asked his father's condition, how could she leave?
"Dad, I'm fine. You'd better go to the hospital. I'll call Brain and ask him to go to the hospital."
Stella said and took out her phone, but was stopped by Rufus.
"Brain went away on a business trip last night, if you tell him, he can’t come back and will be worried.
I'm fine. It's just a cold. Go home, we can talk over the phone."
Rufus said while taking back a few steps, he was afraid of infecting Stella.
Paul took Stella and let her go.
"Hurry along. It's the child who matters at this time. You're a pregnant woman, and you should take
care of yourself. You may rest assured that I am here."
Paul said while pulling Stella out. He knew Stella cared about her father and Rufus cared about the
child.
There was obstacle in the way, it would be perfect to clear it.
Stella had to leave, and was picked up by the driver.
On the way home, she had been thinking about what had happened in recent days, thinking that her
father cared about her when he was even sick. Her father loved them conditionally, why they could not
forgive him after many years? Were she and Brian still filial kids?
Winnie flew back to B City on Friday evening, landing at 1 a.m. It was too late and she didn't ask
anyone to pick her up.
Coincidently, however, she actually met Brian at the airport when she got off the plane.
The two men looked at each other in surprise. Brian walked over Winnie.
"Why didn't you tell me before you came back?
"It's too late to bother anyone."
"My car is parked at the airport. I gotta go."
Winnie turned away, she felt it a burden to talk to Brain.
Winnie walked in front, followed by Brian.
"Winwin, I came back suddenly. While your car is here, take me back."
Brian was quick to wit and said he had no one to pick up. Of course, Winnie did not believe him. His
travel had been arranged by his secretary, how could no one pick him up?
"Don't be ridiculous, Mr. Bennet. My car isn't classy enough for a boss like you. You'd better send your
men to fetch you."
Winnie refused, and then quickened her pace to get rid of Brian, but Brian still followed.
He had been following Winnie carrying a suitcase. Before he reached the exit, he saw Albert, so he
waved his hands to Albert.
Albert was a smart man. He saw Winnie before he saw Brian. As he was surprised, he saw Brian
behind her waving his hand.
He instantly understood what was happening and disappeared as fast as he could.
In this way, Brian really became a loner.
Brian followed Winnie to Winnie's car, Winnie became impatient.
"Mr. Bennet, don't you know I mean I can’t take you?"
"Yes, buy I have no one to pick me up, so I can only take your car to go back."
Brian just wanted to go back with Winnie.
"Call a taxi, you can call a taxi to take you home."
Winnie said while taking out the car key from her bag.
However, as soon as she grasped the car key, Brian snatched it away.
"I will drive the car."
Brian naturally took the key and put the suitcase in the trunk.
"Get in the car. I'll take a taxi when you get home."
Brian said and pushed Winnie who was angry into the car, then he got into the car to.
On the airport expressway.
"Do you come back for something?"
Brian broke the silence in the car.
"Penny is in a bad mood these days, and Oscar said she seems to know she has cancer. I came back
to talk to her, to get her open-minded."
Winnie said looking out of the window. Saying a few words was much better than being silent, at least it
would be less awkward.
"Leave her alone, you can’t do anything about it. She always says malicious words. You will only be
scolded, she will not listen to your advice."
As soon as he heard the name Penny, Brian was worried. He was really afraid Winnie was hurt by
Penny.
"If scolding me makes her feel better, it's worth it."
Winnie really thought so. As long as Penny could face reality, could cheer up, she would rather
sacrifice, would rather be scolded.
"And if she hurts you?"
Brian supported Winnie to be kind. But she could not allow herself to be hurt, not to increase her
trouble.
"She won’t."
Winnie was not sure about it, but she had to say so.
Winnie then changed the topic.
"Luke called me and said your father is sick."
"He is sick? Why didn't anyone tell me?"
Brian was nervous when he realized that his father get ill.
"Perhaps he doesn’t want you to be worried. When you get back, take care of him. Whatever it was,
whatever misunderstanding you had, he raised you, you have the responsibility to support him when he
is old."
Winnie said. She knew that Brian did not like to listen to such words and she was not sure if she was
meddling. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
However, she was worried when she saw the relationship between Brian and his father come to a halt.
She was worried that Brian would regret it when Rufus passed away.
"I'll take care of him."
Brian gave Winnie unexpected answer. He knew he had a responsibility to take care of his father, as a
son.
Hearing that, Winnie was relieved.
"Good. One of these days I want to visit him, and I will go when you are out."
Winnie said directly.
"Why do you go when I am out, we..."
"I am afraid your family will be embarrassed, after all, we have nothing to do with each other."
Winnie was more afraid that Rufus and Stella mentioned the relationship between Brian and her.
"They won't be embarrassed. It's the weekend. I'll be home all the time."
Brian didn't care Winnie’s reason, it was just her excuse.
"Then I will go there next time."
Winnie was stubborn and Brian could do nothing about it.
"Well, if you don't go to see Grandpa, I'll give you the chance to go to the suburbs."
Brian took advantage of various opportunities to thwart Winnie, he did not forget the fact that Winnie
came back to see his grandpa.
"It is a joke, Mr. Bennet, is there quid pro quo between us? We can act when the kids are around, but
it's better to keep our identities separate when the kids are away."
"Sorry, I'll take care of my own business. You only need to mind your own business."
Winnie did not think she needed to exchange terms with Brian.
When did Brian take het things seriously? It was sarcastic.
She was a tough woman in the eyes of Brian, how could she be loved or cared about?
"Winwin, don't turn away from me. You can test me and you will see me differently, and..."
Brian knew that Winnie's words were with resentment. No matter what he said or did, she thought of
her grievance and resentment.
Such an attitude was not good for Winnie and would make her gloomy.
"Stop it, I don’t hold any hope for you now."
"I don’t want to get back to you."
Winnie's heart had already died, and she held little hope.
"Winwin..."
"I am sleepy and want to sleep for a while. Let me know when we get there."
Winnie interrupted Brian and directly ended the conversation between them.
Every conversation, so long as it did not involve either of them, could go smoothly. But when it came to
relationship, Winnie held a hostile attitude.
Brian was helpless, but he understood her. If he had been hurt, his resistance might have been more
serious than Winnie's.
May be it was late, and Winnie really fell asleep in the car.
Brian drove Winnie's car into the underground parking lot and parked the car, but Winnie was still
sleeping.
Brian wondered he should wake up Winnie. He did not want to wake her up, but she seemed
uncomfortable sleeping like that. Finally he decided to adjust the seat of Winnie to make her feel better.
Winnie might be tired of taking a plane and might have a sound sleep by Brian’s side, Brian's
movements did not wake her up.
After the seat had been adjusted to flat, Winnie changed a more comfortable position and continued to
sleep.
