Chapter 771 Became Better
Chapter 771 Became Better
Before the nanny got her phone, she was stopped by Penny.
"Don't bother Oscar, just take me to the hospital for an examination. I want to get some medicine."
Penny held the nanny with trembling hands. She wanted to go to the hospital to confirm her illness, but
she didn't want anyone to find it out. She wouldn't have believed anything other than a doctor's
diagnosis.
"Ok, I'll take you to the hospital."
The nanny helped Penny walk toward the gate.
The next morning, Brian came back to B City with two kids. Winnie's foot had not recovered, but it did
not affect her class. Everything was back to normal.
Brian left the car to her, and asked Morgan to take care of her. In the eyes of Brian, she was like a child
who had not grown up and could not leave the care of adults all the time.
But such care made her confused and made her feel difficult to forget Brian.
Forgetting someone was the most difficult thing. If he did so, she would not move on forever.
After Brian returned to B City, he had been worried about Winnie. Fortunately, Morgan was there, or he
might have flown to C City.
After work, Brian came to the hospital to find Kevin.
"Give me an examination. I seem to have forgotten something again."
Brian wanted an examination because he had felt that he forgot what Winnie told him.
"Again? You forget it often or occasionally?"
Brian and Kevin were busy these days. They did not even have a chance to talk on the phone.
Because of this, Kevin did not observe Brian.
"It's better than it used to be, not as often as before."
Brian felt his situation seemed to be much better than before.
"What are you worried about since it gets better?"
Kevin asked with doubts, but he became less worried for Brian got better.
"I've written down all the things I forgot before, and I remember them when I look at my diary. But this
time I didn't write down what I had said to Winwin. I always felt she said something to me, but I can't
remember."
"I've been trying for ages to remember what she said, and if she asks me for help on something, it is
bad that I forget it."
That's why Brian wanted to check. He didn't even reject the medicine and wanted to increase the
dosage. As long as he could remember what Winnie said, as long as he could remember all the things
about Winnie, he could eat arsenic.
"There's no point in examination. An improvement is a good sign."
"Brian, don’t worry and don’t put pressure on yourself. It only helps if you relax."
Kevin persuaded Brian. He wanted an examination for the sake of Winnie, but he used to be forced to.
"You know what? I'll ask for you sometime. You don't have to rush. It's not good. And don't worry. If
Winwin needs anything, she'll talk to Daenerys. If Daenerys knows, I will know and I will tell you."
Kevin did not think it was a problem, so he became relaxed.
"But I always felt she had told me something about her family, but I couldn't remember the details."
Kevin did not think it was a big deal, but Brian kept it in mind. It might be the only time Winnie
mentioned her family, so he did not want to forget it.
"Do you know nothing of her family till now?"
Kevin asked in surprise. If he loved her, he should know everything about her. However, Brian knew
nothing about Winnie's family.
"I don't know anything about her except that her parents died in a car accident. We have had two
opportunities to speak of her family before, and we have missed them."
Brian said with a sigh. He knew it was his fault that he was indifferent to Winnie.
"I don't know whether you love Winwin or not. How come you don’t know anything about her?...
Alas...... Poor Winwin, she wholeheartedly loved you, but what have you done?"
Kevin felt that Winnie had her reason to be wrong. Brian might not know how sad Winnie was.
"I now know that I am cold-blooded. I did not seriously care about Winwin. How could I have known
nothing if I had paid more attention to her?"
Brian was guilty. He did not allow himself to do it again and did not anyone to make a hard time to
Winnie.
"I don't know what to say, but remember, this is your last chance. If you hurt her again, I won’t support
you again."
Kevin could not bear to blame Brian seeing that he was guilty. Brian had realized his mistakes and
shortcomings, Kevin could believe him again, believed that he could get Winnie back and gave her
happiness.
“Don't worry. I'll ask Daenerys. She knows all about it.”
He could not ask Winnie about it, so he could only find some clues from Daenerys.
As soon as Kevin's voice dropped, his received a message.
"Daenerys said Emily and Leo are at our house. You can join us for dinner."
After reading the message, Kevin said to Brian, but Brian refused.
"Both the kids have language lessons this evening, and I have to go with them. Winwin is away and I
spend as much time as I can with them."
Brian did that for the sake of the kids, so that Winnie could be relieved.
"The kids go out to have a class? Aren’t you vigilant during this period of time, can your safety be
guaranteed?"
Kevin reminded, after all, Richard had not been arrested and it was a threat to the kids.
"It's all right. I have bodyguards. They are safe at home, but I do not know when Richard will be caught,
and they cannot be separated from the outside world. Besides, the kids are about to start school, they
have to fit in. We will be careful."
Brian was worried, but the kids could not be separated from the outside world. They could not have
class at home, or they would ne nervous and could not integrate into the society.
All he could do now was to keep them safe and keep them as normal as other kids, free from any
external influences.
"Winwin's not home. You need to be cautious. By the way, Winwin left Vanessa to Daenerys and Emily
before she left. They are busy, I am afraid they will neglect Vanessa. So please help take care of
Vanessa, or Winnie will be worried."
Kevin wanted to remind Brian earlier, but there was no suitable opportunity. After all, Emily was
pregnant, Daenerys needed to take care of her child, so they got limited energy.
"Don’t worry, I have arranged bodyguards for Vanessa and Winwin."
Brian answered, but Winnie and Vanessa did not know it.
"Good, you did a good job, and you were very thoughtful."
Kevin praised Brian and he was relieved.
"Don't compliment me, I can't afford it. Winwin's bodyguard was arranged by me, and Vanessa's
bodyguard was not."
Brian said.
"Who was it then? Stella?"
Kevin speculated.
"No, my sister needs protection."
"Your father? Your father found someone to protect Vanessa?" Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Kevin continued to ask curiously.
"Yes."
Brian gave his answer.
Now Kevin realized why Brian did not say it directly.
"It's just an address. Is it so hard to call him Dad?"
Kevin had to say that. Brain had an awkward relationship with his father, but it was not him who was
said, but his family.
For the sake of these families, Kevin felt Brian should let it go.
Brian did not know what to say, so he kept silent.
"Brain, now that you have your relationship, don't you understand your parents? Do you think
relationship is something you can control with your own restraint?"
"You are not married, if you and Wendy had already been married, you cheated on her when you were
with Gloria and Winwin."
"Do you know how many years you've been tormenting your father with your own resentment? How
many people are embarrassed and uncomfortable because of your resentment?"
Kevin knew Brian did not like to hear that, but he had to say that. Things could never go away if he did
not say it out.
He knew that Brian was hurt, but after so many years, he should let go.
"Stop that. I know what to do."
"I'm going home, and you go home early."
Brian ended the topic in a bad mood.
He knew that he could not control relationship and that his resentment made everyone feel bad. But
when he remembered how badly his mother had died, he could not let go of his hatred.
After Kevin returned home, Emily and Leo had arrived. But he knew from the conversation that Leo
insisted to follow Emily.
"It has not been settled?"
Kevin whispered to Leo.
"No."
Leo answered in a low voice.
"Don't worry, she will be yours sooner or later for the sake of the child."
Kevin whispered, afraid that Emily and Daenerys sitting on the other side of the sofa heard it.
"That's what I thought, but I'm afraid she'll have the abortion."
Leo moved closer to Kevin before he said that.
"She won’t, the last thing a woman wants is a child. Emily will not have the abortion. She is now
watching your performance."
"Wait and I'll ask for you."
