Chapter 6
Elaine turned out to be even more shameless than I’d imagined. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
After I fired her, she went on a livestream, accusing me of abusing my power and taking revenge for personal grievances.
With her pretty face and air of fragility, she managed to gain a large following of ignorant supporters who joined her in attacking me.
In the past, I might have been torn up about this. But now, all I wanted was to get justice for Mona.
Today, Elaine was livestreaming from a hospital room. She wore no makeup, her usually beautiful face pale, which elicited sympathy from many viewers.
As soon as the livestream started, many people flocked to the chat.
She sat in front of the camera, her eyes wet and her cheeks flushed, as though she had just been crying.
“I’m just an ordinary woman, trying to make ends meet with a meager salary to pay for my son’s medical bills. But she unjustly fired me, practically condemning my son to die!
I had no choice but to come forward like this..”
With that, she lowered her head and sobbed softly.
“I was just friends with Mr.Hart. I was touched that he helped me, but I never intended to cause any misunderstandings.”
The chat was filled with messages cursing me.
“What kind of person is Larissa? If her life is a mess, she shouldn’t drag others down with her. Her company should just go bankrupt!”
“If I were Mr. Hart, I’d divorce her immediately. Keeping such a vile woman around is like having a ticking time bomb!”
“I heard Mr. Hart and Elaine were childhood sweethearts, but Larissa forced herself between them with her family’s power. Such scheming! Karma’s coming for her!”
“No wonder. She’s just a lowlife. She deserves it!”
“How heartless can she be? Andrew is such an adorable boy, and she’s just a cruel woman! Doesn’t she know what it’s like to lose a child?”
As I watched the livestream, I posted on Twitter, revealing the truth:
“The director of Love Hospital, Luis Samon, along with his sister Elaine and her lover Jackson, colluded to deceive patients‘ families into donating blood, deliberately delaying life–saving measures, which led to Mona’s death!”
I attached surveillance footage showing
Elaine stopping the medical staff from entering to save Mona.
Since I usually posted poems and thoughts on Twitter, I had a lot of followers and a good reputation. As soon as the post went live, it was quickly shared and commented on by many.
Soon, people began copying the title of my post and flooding Elaine’s livestream chat.
“Oh my God, so this is the real truth!”
“Elaine is such a snake. She caused someone’s death and then played the victim for sympathy!“
