Chapter 17 Jerk Ex-husband
In a fit of rage, Jerry bit down on the corner of Evelyn’s lips, causing it to bleed.
The taste of blood filled her mouth, forcing her to open it in
pain.
But just then, the door swung open abruptly from the outside.
“Jerry, I brought your favorite soup. You… What?!” Maura stood at the entrance, holding a thermal lunch box.
When her eyes fell upon the scene in the living room, she yelled
out.
Jerry was pinning Evelyn down on the floor, one hand tugging at her skirt, the other gripping her slender waist.
Their bodies pressed tightly together, their lips still locked in a kiss…
Maura’s mind felt as if it had been struck by a bomb, shattering her thoughts into pieces.
She rushed forward and cried out, “Evelyn, what are you doing?!”
As Maura entered the room, Evelyn felt a flicker of relief in her heart. However, when she saw Nora following closely behind Maura, she felt her heart go cold.
do you think I’m doing?
“You, you’re shameless!” Maura broke down, shouting in disbelief.
Evelyn raised an eyebrow disdainfully. But as she caught sight of Jerry, who appeared to be at her disposal, a wave of disgust washed over her, prompting her to release her hold on him.
Rising from the ground, Evelyn walked straight towards Maura, “Told you. You won’t be his last one. You’d better leave me alone, or I’ll make sure you suffer.”
Maura wanted to argue back, but she realized that she couldn’t find the words… Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
She turned to Nora, wearing a pitiful expression. “I should probably go. I just worried that Jerry might be upset after what happened, so I wanted to check on him. Seems like my y worries are unnecessary after all…”
Jerry showed little reaction to Maura’s words. On the contrary, Nora took hold of Maura’s hand, “Why leave? You’re so kind-hearted. I’m sure Jerry would love to have your care.”
“That’s right. Why leave? Put on some more drama.” Evelyn’s mocking gaze landed on Maura’s face, “I’ll go.”
She left through the main entrance. Jerry watched her departure, head held high and chest puffed out.
He then shifted his gaze to Maura, who had rushed to his side. Frowning, he asked, “Why come?”
beneath him by now.
Maura’s heart sank as she witnessed Jerry’s displeased expression. Forcing a smile, she said, “Jerry, I heard from your mother that you hadn’t had lunch. Have some soup. It’s still hot.”
Jerry brushed her hand away. “No.”
He turned on his heel and ascended to the second floor. Within seconds, the sound of the bedroom door slamming echoed through the house.
Nora stepped forward and comforted Maura. “Don’t mind him. Jerry’s just got a temper.”
Maura nodded in a show of understanding, but her hands clenched into tight fists by her sides.
‘Evelyn… You’ll pay for this, you b*tch!’
