Chapter 470: Visit An Old Friend
Dodge Ram 1500 moved ahead. When it turned to leave, the crew members walked out of the supermarket one by one.
Ben put his hands on the car window and watched outside.
Kylie was supposed to walk ahead of the crowd, but she hid herself behind others eating ice cream.
Ben saw a familiar figure flashing by, and it was gone.
He took out his phone to text Kylie at once.
Ben: Mom, are you in Thailand?
When Ben was about to send it out, he realized he shouldn’t expose his own location.
If he asked Kylie like that, Kylie would know he was also in Thailand.
Therefore, he deleted it and typed down several words again.
Ben: Mom, where are you right now?
He held his phone in his hands all the time, waiting for Kylie’s reply. However, he didn’t know Kylie was actually enjoying her ice cream now.
Nina glanced at him, then jokes, “Ben, do you have a girlfriend?”
Hearing that, Tory looked at Ben in the rear-view mirror as well.
Ben said, “I have a very high standard for my girlfriend.”
Tory focused on the road ahead again. “Do listen to your Uncle An, and I’ll visit you in a few days.”
“Father, are you going to do business in America?” Ben was a little excited. He leaned forward and hugged Tory’s seat.
“Yeah.” Tory nodded. “I’ll go to visit an old friend.”

Everything went well with the pickup scenes, but they needed to wait for the night to shoot the last scene where Tory came to join the feast.
In the afternoon, Kylie and Fannie brought Pupu to relax by the sea.
Pupu wasn’t like other dogs that would run into the ocean once they saw it. Instead, Pupu followed Kylie behind along the way biting her slippers.
“Ethan really loves you!” Fannie looked at Pupu.
“He really loves Pupu.” Kylie smiled with obvious happiness.
Hearing Kylie call its name, Pupu sped up suddenly and dashed to the front of her.
“Good dog! Go play with yourself.” Kylie patted its head.
Pupu didn’t leave but still followed Kylie behind.
“Did you call Nate?” Kylie asked and left a deep footprint on the beach.
“I did, and he’s quite busy.” Fannie also left a deep footprint. When ocean water filled it up, she expanded it. “He sounded very excited. It seems he’s doing a big deal with Ethan.”
“I think they might be acquiring land. Matthew was responsible for it before, but he didn’t do it well.” Kylie explained.
“Don’t you think men have a strong sense of territory like dogs?” Fannie said with a smile. “If anyone dares to gain benefits on their territory without their permission, it’s a challenge in their eyes.”
“Ha-ha, well put!” Kylie laughed. “I’ll pass it on to Nate.”
At this moment, Kylie’s phone rang.
She glanced at the caller’s name, then answered it with a smile. “Hi, you finally have a second to call me back.”
“I’m sorry. I was swamped. When can we do the prenatal examination?” Stephen asked.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“I’m in Thailand right now, and I’ll be back in a day or two,” Kylie replied. “Both you and Dinah are absent. Are you together now, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil?”
“Dinah?” Stephen stopped for a second, then denied it. “No, she isn’t with me. Come to my clinic once you’re home.”
“Sure.” Kylie hung up the call, then found a missed message, which was from her “son.”
“Hi, did you miss me?” Kylie and Ben back at once.
Ben was enjoying the afternoon tea with Tory and Nina. Seeing the caller was Kylie, he excused himself and walked aside to answer it.
“Yeah.” Ben flushed a little.
“What are you busy with now?” Kylie asked.
“I’m enjoying the afternoon tea with my father,” Ben said in a low voice and covered the microphone of his phone with his small hand. “The trick you taught me is very useful!”
“What trick?” Kylie asked, feeling confused.
“Run to slap her!” Ben said with pride.
Kylie thought for a while, then realized she did have joked that with Ben when they were at the set.
She remembered Director Wyatt had told her that Ben was from a single-parent family. Kylie used to think he didn’t have a father, or his father had abandoned him and his mother.
However, it now sounded like Ben’s mother had left them.
Kylie felt sorry for Ben and asked, “Ben, adults are complicated.”
“My father treats her simply,” Ben argued. “He needs her to satisfy his physiological needs. That’s all because my father only loves my mother.”
“Who’s your mother?” Kylie blurted it out, then regretted at once. She shouldn’t ask that question.
To her surprise, Ben didn’t mind it at all. “My mother is an outstanding actress.”
Kylie was amused and didn’t know what to say.
“My father will visit me in a few days. Why don’t we share a meal together by then?” Ben smiled.
“Sure.” Kylie agreed, then joked, “Ben, your father must be as good-looking as you.”
“Nope, he’s much more handsome than me.” Ben turned to glance at Tory. When Tory met his eyes, he said, “You won’t be disappointed.”
“Great, I’m looking forward to it.” Kylie laughed and hung up the call.
She shrugged to Fannie afterward. “Director Wyatt told me Ben is a lonely boy who seldom talks to others, but I somehow feel he’s very talkative.”
“He treats you differently,” Fannie said. She already dug a big deep hole and stood in it. Ocean water covered her knees once in a while. “I heard it from a production assistant that he never talks to others except for Director Wyatt.”
“Really?” Kylie suddenly pushed Fannie when Fannie wasn’t paying attention to her.
Fannie’s feet were stuck in the sand, and she couldn’t pull them out right away, so she fell and heavily sat down on the beach after her body shook a little.
In an instant, Fannie was wet below her waist.
“How dare you!” Fannie caught Kylie. If Kylie weren’t pregnant, she would pull her down to the water as well.
Kylie laughed out loud. “Come on, get yourself out now.”
Fannie struggled, trying to pull her feet out. “Don’t you dare run away!”
Hearing that, Kylie got rid of Fannie’s hand and ran back to the hotel without hesitation.
Pupu followed her up, running behind.
Fannie was left alone on the beach in her wet clothing. She snorted and began to move the sand away from her feet. “I’ll pay you back one day, Kylie!”
“Hey, may I help?” A familiar voice sounded above her head.
Fannie looked up, and the sunshine covered a tall, strong body in her sight.
When she got used to the bright light, she saw a face which she couldn’t be more familiar with.
“Nate?” “What are you doing here?”
