Chapter 35
Unice’s PoV
There was someone outside who I didn’t recognize; a man emerged from the car as if he were their boss. I was about to run because I was afraid I’d have to go to the attic and do what Ace said, but then I heard gunshots.
They went inside the house without my knowledge; I was terrified and had no idea what this man was doing at Ace House. He was inside Ace’s house, and his guards were armed.
“Where are you going? Don’t you want to know the truth?” I turned to face the man, who said he was a bit old and smiled at me.
I backed away, and they came inside the house, carrying guns, and my legs were trembling.
“I shouldn’t know anything,” I told him, and he laughed.
“It’s just about Ace,” he said to me, forcing me to sit in the chair in which we are now in the kitchen.
“Should I start talking immediately, or should I introduce myself first?” He inquired.
“I’m not sure who you are or what I should know,” I replied, averting my gaze.
“I’m Edward Heils, and I’ll tell you right now to stay away from Ace,” Edward said, and I continued to avoid looking.
“Did he tell you about his parents’ deaths? Did he reveal who murdered his family?” Edward inquired.
“I’m not sure who killed his parents. He stated that someone killed his family,” I told Edward, and he burst out laughing, which surprised me.
“What’s the point of your laughter? Nothing is amusing,” I informed Edward.
“Ace murdered his parents, misled you, lied to you!” Edward laughed as he said it to me, but what he told me seemed unbelievable.
“I don’t believe you. Ace is a good person if he didn’t lose his family,” I said, and Edward stood up.
“Why don’t you ask him? He has killed and tortured many people,” Edward told me, and because I was annoyed, I stood up.
“You should leave, or Ace might kill you,” I told Edward, and I was surprised when he placed a picture on the table.
When I looked at it, a child in the picture appeared to be crying because two people were lying down, Ace and his mother and father, but why did he have it? Does this imply that Ace murdered his family?
“What exactly does this mean?” I inquired of Edward.
“That’s the proof he killed his parents. He eventually blamed himself,” Edward said as a car drove by outside.
I saw Ace running towards the house, destroying the front door, and then barging in with guns.
I saw Ace with a double-barrel shotgun shooting at Edward’s guards while reloading, simultaneously taking out two of them.
One of the guards tried to grab Ace’s Double Barrel Shotgun, but he was too strong for him, pushing him away and shooting the guard in the chest, so I blocked his way to Edward.
“Unice, what are you doing?!” Ace told me, and I threw the picture I was holding at him.
“Liar!” I sighed and clenched my hand.
“What exactly are you saying? Keep your distance from that man! You have no idea what you’re doing!” Ace told me, and I didn’t realize my tears were already running down my cheeks.
“And what are you saying? You’re making excuses!” I told Ace, and then I ran away from his house.
“Unice!” As I ran away from his house, Ace yelled at me.
Why do I feel this way while running? My vision blurs due to tears streaming from my eyes. Is that to say I’m already in love with Ace? This is why I felt this?
I noticed the falls near the forest; I had no idea there were falls here, and I saw Ace following me.
“Leave me alone!” I yelled to Ace and looked up at the cliffs.
“I did not deceive you, Unice! That man is deceiving you!” Ace told me, and my tears flowed once more.
“Who will I believe if that is also a lie? You ruined my life, and I tried to change, but even if I change, I still get the worst life possible,” I told Ace, and I was ready to jump away from him again.
“I’ve loved you, Unice, since I told you someone had murdered my family. How can I lie to you?” I laughed as Ace told me.
“I give up, Ace. Let’s stop this,” I said as I jumped, knowing I had fallen into the water and could still live.
Max’s PoV
“Unice!” I heard Ace yell, and we didn’t do anything. I saw Ace was about to jump also when we stopped him.
“There’s nothing you can do, Ace! She decided to do that!” I said, and he shoved me while pointing a gun at me.
“You have no idea how I feel! So keep quiet!” I could see Ace’s love for Unice in his eyes.
“Look for Unice even if she’s dead!” Ace informed our colleagues.
I also need to find Unice; if I do, I might hide her from Ace first. Even though we were not that close, I knew what she was feeling right now; I looked at the falls and where she could go if she fell into the water.
We brought Ace back home, and he still didn’t say anything to us; he just told us to look for Unice. I know he already loves Unice; earlier, when Unice was crying, I could feel the two of them forming something between them, and I could tell they loved each other.
“Max, I hope you find Unice,” Ace said as I opened the car door; when I looked at him, he had already entered his house.
Edward Heils also left, and we had no idea where he went. I went to the spot where the falls are right below and saw Unice lying down, so I ran out. When I approached her, I thought her eyes were closed, and it appeared she was crying.
“I’ll take you to Ace,” I said, and Unice stood up.
“I don’t want to go back to him! Keep your distance from me!” Unice said to me while covering her body.
“Ace is very concerned about you; Ace can’t lie to you, you know that,” I told Unice, and she didn’t say anything.
I removed my jacket and handed it to Unice; she looked at it and took it. She wore my coat, and Ace was correct when he described Unice as petite and attractive in bed.
“I don’t care if Ace worried about me; he just wants me back because he has no one at home, and he just wants me because of sex,” Unice said, and I was surprised.
I sat next to Unice while looking at the waterfalls, and they appeared to have more sex than I thought.
“Does he hurt you when you have sex? Like strangles you and tied you?” When I asked Unice, she shook her head.
“Se he is not hurting you. Sex is not what he needs,” I told Unice.
“Ace said earlier that he already loves you; do you believe him?” I asked him for more information, and Unice shook her head.
“If Ace didn’t love you, he would have just let you die before. You remember when the mansion was attacked, don’t you?” When I asked Unice, she raised her head because she was hunched over.
“You’re right. If he didn’t love me, he just let me die,” Unice said, and I nodded.
“What do you intend to do next? Should you hide or confront Ace?” I inquired of Unice.
“I’m not sure,” Unice replied, and I laughed. What will I do when I hide her? I know Ace will still look for Unice no matter what.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Just go back to Ace because no matter where you hide, he can still find you,” I told her as I stood up.
“Ace lost his family, and I know he doesn’t want to lose you too,” I said to Unice, who stood up.
I let Unice get in my car and drive away; we soon arrived at Ace’s house. Unice removed the jacket I had lent her and handed it to me.
“I’ll bring it back; Ace would be jealous when he saw me wearing your jacket,” Unice said, and I took my jacket.
Unice got out of the car, and I got out as well, and I noticed Ace sitting at the opposite door. He looked up at Unice, widened his eyes, and hugged her quickly.
I smiled, I’ve known Ace for a long time, and I can’t keep Unice hidden from him because I know he needs Unice for life; Ace looked at me.
“Thank you, Max,” I was surprised because he had just thanked me so much when I had helped him before.
