When Anya opened the door with her card, she saw Evan looking fresh and handsome over the desk. She felt much happier than before when she was facing Ansley. She beamed and walked towards him. "Honey, everything is handled. Let's pack up and go back to Nordeny."

"Didn't she die?" Evan asked her with a smile.

"No. Why would she be willing to die? She faked it to stall for time to sneak away."

Evan nodded and gazed at Anya affectionately. He thought, "She gets more and more captivating."

After being obsessed with her for a while, he stood up, walked to her slowly, and took her in his arms. "It must be tough for you last night.

"I won't make such a stupid mistake again." He thought Ansley was a kind-hearted girl because she had been getting along well with Minta recently. Little did he think that lowering his guard would create an opportunity for her to play tricks.

Luckily, no blunders had been made.

Or Anya might never forgive him.

Feeling his warm embrace, Anya nestled against his chest in content and said, "It's good that you realize your mistake."

"I promised I won't do it again," Evan guaranteed so sincerely as if he was begging for her mercy.

"Let's go back earlier in case of any more trouble." Anya knew that Ansley wouldn't take the defeat lying down. Thus, they had better settle the matter as soon as possible.
