Chapter 85
Chapter 85
Even though it was wed past 10.00 pm, the lively atmosphere at Stonebridge Pub was just getting started.
The parking lot was still bustling with activity–some patrons had just arrived, while others were stumbling out after indaging too much in drinks.
Time to head home.” Dorian remarked indifferently as he pulled Giselle close, causing her to stumble
into his embrace.
Struggling to keep her balance, Giselle tripped and accidentally bumped into Dorian’s chest.
pect against his sturdy body caused a jolt of pain in Gisele’s nose. It prickled uncomfortably, nearly bringing tears of discomfort to her eyes.
Seated in the passenger seat, Aspen leaned over, reaching for Gisele’s hand. NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
His voice was both gentle and firm. “Don, you’ve had too much to drink. This is Gisele, not Sierra.*
“Yes, Dorian, please take a good look. I’m Gisele, not Sierra,” Gisele said, trying to hold back her tears. She couldn’t help but notice the strong scent of alcohol on Dorian, causing her brows to furrow in worry.
However, Dorian paid no heed to Gisele’s words. He forcefully grabbed her hand and led her toward his
car.
Gisele stumbled clumsily as he pulled her along, mostly dragging her along with him.
As Dorian roughly shoved Gisele into the car, Aspen hurried over and wedged himself between the closing door. His usually gentle tone turned cold as he spoke, “Dorian, must you treat Gisele like this?”
“Our relationship is none of your concern,” Dorian retorted as he settled into the back seat.
The atmosphere inside the car became tense as soon as he entered. His hands gripped Gisele’s neck tightly, making it difficult for her to breathe.
Aspen pursed his lips, glancing down at Gisele. “Gisele, do you want to stay?”
Gisele hesitated, her gaze shifting to Dorian. If she had known Dorian would be present, she wouldn’t
have come at all.
Initially, she had mistaken Aspen for a customer, and in her line of work, customers always took priority, which was why she had agreed to pick him up.
“Perhaps you should accompany him and see how it goes.”
Although Dorian appeared calm outwardly, his anger was simmering inside!
Wasn’t he supposed to be her first choice?
Why was she hesitating now?
Dorian angrily grabbed Gisele’s delicate hand, his large palm applying more pressure than usual due to his
rage.

Gisele endured the pain, understanding Dorian’s implicit threat. If she didn’t comply, the Meyer family’s future in Hearthfield might be at risk.
“Don’t be afraid of him, Gisele,” Aspen reassured her.
Gisele smiled softly and replied, “Thank you, Aspen. I’ll handle this. You should ask Mr. Murray to arrange
a driver for you.”
As her words trailed off, Jon escorted Aspen away and then shut the door, proceeding to start the car.
Struggling to contain his anger, Dorian eased his grip on Gisele’s hand ever so sligh though his dissatisfaction remained palpable.
It seemed that Gisele neither acknowledged their marriage nor found it inappropriate to be out late at night, even going as far as to picking up and escorting a man home!
As the car accelerated, the atmosphere inside grew tense.
Dorian, having consumed copious amounts of potent alcohol, began to feel the world around him spin gradually, his dizziness intensifying.
Eventually, the car pulled up at the entrance of Jefferson Manor.
“Mr. Kiss, would you mind escorting Dorian into the room? If he requires assistance, please contact Ms. McMillan,” Gisele instructed calmly as she exited the car.
In the past, she might have attended to Dorian herself, but she refused to subject herself to such degradation anymore.
As Gisele headed toward the parking lot, her wrist was suddenly seized.
“You…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Dorian forcefully pulled her into the car, causing her to stumble into his embrace. There, she was met with the warmth of his breath, tinged with the scent of alcohol.
In the next moment, his lips found hers in the dim light.
His large hands started to roam over her tender body, unable to remain still.
