Chapter 62
The next morning Lucas left before they woke up. He knew Sam would feel awkward, so he wanted to give her some privacy when she woke up.
And he knew her and Smokey would need alone time to discuss the previous night. Smokey woke up first and watched Sam sleep for a few minutes before kissing her awake.
“What did you think?” Smokey asked.
“It was pretty hot. But now I’m feeling a little embarrassed.” She explained.
“No need for embarrassment. We are all consenting adults.” Smokey replied. “Hungry?”This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Starving.” Sam smiled.
They got dressed and went to the kitchen to eat. When they walked in, Snake kissed Sam on the mouth. Smokey smiled as Sam blushed again. Glad she didn’t push him away.
“Good morning beautiful. Thought I’d break the awkwardness. Sit. Eat.” Snake commanded.
“Yeah, like that wasn’t awkward at all.” Sam muttered.
Smokey and Snake both laughed. They all sat and ate. Ivy watched from across the room. She was giving Sam dagger eyes.
If looks could kill! Later Sam and Smokey headed back home. In the truck Sam’s cell rang. It was Kim.
“Hey! I got the building! And my salon is a go!” Kim replied.
“Congrats! I knew you could do it.” Sam replied.
“So where did you guys go? Where are you?” Kim asked.
“We went to visit the Southern chapter.” Sam explained.
“Really? Why?” Kim asked.
“Can’t really explain over the phone.” Sam replied.
“Ooh scandalous!” Kim replied.
“Gotta go, love ya, bye!” Sam replied before ending the call.
“What was that about?” Smokey asked.
“Kim got the building for her salon.” Sam explained.
“Good.” Smokey replied.
Everyone showed up at the Grand Opening of Kim’s salon Fire and Ice. It’s done in red and blue. It’s a huge hit. The girls are helping with refreshments. And some of the old ladies were helping with scheduling and cleaning.
“It’s a madhouse out there.” Kim sighed. “So many are waiting.”
“I’ll take some more snacks around. See if that will help calm them down.” Sam replied.
“I’ll entertain the ladies.” Smokey smirked.
“And tonight, at the bar I’ll entertain the guys.” Sam retorted.
“Babe! I was just kidding.” Smokey laughed.
“I wasn’t.” Sam huffed.
“Ah come on babe. You know I was just kidding.” Smokey replied.
Sam walked away with Smokey following her and pleading with her. The rest of the group just looked at each other and laughed. They didn’t leave the salon until late evening and Smokey insisted, they go home.
Later in bed they were talking. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something. One of the doctors on call is looking for a nurse for his office. I’m thinking about applying for the job.” Sam explained.
“I thought you liked the hospital?” Smokey asked.
“I do, but I really hate the shifts and hours.” Sam replied.
“What kind of hours would the new job have?” Smokey asked. “Monday through Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 8am until 1pm.” Sam explained.
“Whatever you want to do is fine with me.” Smokey replied.
“It will be less pay, but I really like the hours. And pay really doesn’t matter. I can still cover everything.” Sam replied.
“I’ve been trying to get you to let me pay off your mortgage. I am living here now. Let me help out.” Smokey demanded.
“I know. But it doesn’t feel right.” Sam sighed.
“At least let me pay half the payment each month. Any roommate would have to.” Smokey argued.
“Fine! But that’s all.” Sam agreed.
“So? This new doctor, how old is he?” Smokey asked.
“Don’t worry. He’s in his 50’s and happily married. His wife works with him.” Sam laughed.
“Good! I’m liking this new job already. What kind of doctor is he?” Smokey asked.
“Obstetrician.” Sam replied.
“My kind of doctor! Gets paid to look at pussy all day!” Smokey laughed.
Sam smacked him in the chest. “You’re awful!”
He laughed even harder.
“So, you’re not worried that I’ll get baby fever working around all those pregnant women?” Sam asked.
“Nope. If you do, just imagine all the fun we’ll have trying.” He smirked.
“Adrian be serious!” Sam retorted.
“Oh, I am serious. I want kids.” He explained.
“Really?” Sam asked.
“Yeah, I do. Don’t you?” He asked.
“I’ve never thought about it. But I figured bikers didn’t do kids.” Sam replied.
“Bikers are like anyone else. Some do and some don’t. Our club isn’t into the illegal shit so I’m good with kids.” Smokey explained. “So, give it some thought.”
Sam nodded. “Guess who’s coming to the clubhouse this weekend?” Smokey asked.
“Snake?” Sam asked.
“Yep. And he wanted to know if you were up to a trio repeat.” Smokey replied.
“And what did you say?” Sam asked.
“I said hell yeah if it were up to me, but it’s up to you so I’d ask.” He explained.
“So, if I say no, are you guys gonna have some fun?” Sam asked.
“Ha ha, so not funny! That’s sick and twisted!” Smokey retorted.
“Same rules?” Sam asked.
“Yes. Same rules.” He agreed.
“It’s just hard for me to understand how you’re ok with it when you’re so jealous of other guys.” Sam replied.
“With him I don’t mind. And besides, it’s all about the pleasure. Your pleasure, which pleases me.” He explained.
“I just don’t want it to ruin us or change things between us. If it destroys what we have then it’s not worth it! And what if I catch feelings for him too? It’s different for guys. Women bring emotions into it. We’re just that way.” Sam explained.
“We are solid. And if your feelings get too much, let me know and we’ll just end it.” He replied.
“You are so crazy!” Sam replied.
“Crazy over you!” He growled.
A little while later, Sam got a text from Raine that she was in labor. Baby time!
“Adrian get dressed! Raine is in labor!” Sam hollered.
“Ok I’m up, I’m up!” He hollered as he jumped up throwing his clothes on.
They got to the hospital and waited for an exceptionally long time. Finally, a nurse came out to tell them both were doing fine and ready for visitors.
“Everyone, meet Maverick!” Raine smiled.
“Oh my gosh come to aunty Kim!!” Kim gushed.
“No! Aunty Sam!!” Sam argued.
The girls bicker back and forth in good fun.
“Ah Kim? Don’t get any ideas.” Ice cautioned.
“Oh shush! I got too much going on with getting the salon up and running.” Kim retorted.
“Sam, you got any ideas?” Smokey asked.
“Making them is lots of fun.” He laughed.
“Yeah, and you can have lots of the same fun without making them too!” Sam explained.
