Chapter 19
And it seems his doctor had a change of heart. Once Junior is out of the way, he’ll release Senior with a clean bill of health.” Jax replied.
“Good. He was always kind to me. He told Marty he wasn’t good enough for a girl like me. Marty hated it of course. I never knew why the man was always so hard on him. I guess he knew his true colors and Marty probably deserved his treatment.” Raine replied.
“You know you have to allow yourself to be taken, but not obvious about it. Just do like you would in the past. Use his cockiness against him. Hopefully, his arrogance will be his downfall.” Jax explained.
“I know, I’ll do my best. I guess we’ll see what kind of actress I am.” Raine replied.
“Just don’t push his buttons too much. And as soon as you’re at his house or in his jet, lock yourself in the bathroom. Then say the code word.” Jax explained.
“Ah yeah about that. Pick another code word.” Raine commanded.
“What’s wrong with the one I chose?” Jax asked.
“I’ll laugh myself to death before I can get it out!” Raine rolled her eyes.
“Be serious.” Jax warned.
“Come on, seriously? I am not saying, “rabbit is in the hole”!” Raine laughed.
Blade, Steele, Hunter, and MD all break out into laughter. MD is laughing so hard he falls backwards with his chair hitting the floor. And Ice may have helped his chair make the descent too.
“See, you all will be laughing so hard no one will come rescue me, that’s even if I can get the words out myself!” Raine laughed. “I’m not no fucking rabbit!”
The guys laugh even harder. “Come on Prez, that is so lame!” I. T. managed to get out through bits of laughter.
“Fine! Whatever! What code word do you suggest?” Jax retorted.
“How about, “I’m safe”?” Raine asked.
“How about “come get me”?” Steele chimed in.
Not to be out done, Hunter throws in his own. “How about “Hunter I’m yours”?”This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
That got Hunter a punch from Ice. “Damn brother, really?” Hunter asked Ice
“Don’t disrespect the Prez!” Ice replied.
“I know. How about “mission complete”? Then you know I have the confession and am ready for you to come rescue me!” Raine replied.
“Fine. Mission complete.” Jax agreed.
The next evening at the bar, Raine texted for Marty to meet her there to talk. Marty walked in and saw her then sat down at the table opposite her.
“How can we talk with all this noise?” He asked.
“Well, it’s public, and only way I feel comfortable enough to talk. I’m sure you can manage.” Raine replied.
“Fine. You wanted to talk, so talk.” Marty replied.
“I just wanted to tell you face to face again that we are over. There is no more me and you. You need to move on just like I have moved on. I’m with Jax now, where I am staying.” Raine replied.
“Rainelle, you disappoint me greatly. What could you possibly see in that trashy outlaw biker?” Marty asked.
“He’s a good man. Fun, exciting, thrilling and treats me like a woman should be treated! I don’t have to worry about him hurting me as he would never do that!” Raine retorted.
“I’m rich, good looking and can provide a stable and lavish life for you.” Marty replied.
“Until the drugs take all your money maybe. But you’re not a decent man Marty. You hurt me and made me afraid of you.” Raine replied.
“What if I promise to never do that again?” Marty asked.
“You’re still addicted to coke. That’s all you want, to party and snort your coke. That’s not a life I want. I want a family someday, and drugs can never be a part of it.” Raine explained.
Just then his douche bag dirty detective and buddies raided the bar.
“This is a raid. The police officers here will check all your id’s, and check you for drugs and weapons. If you check out and are clean, you’ll be allowed to leave.” Sanchez hollered.
The cops fixed it so that the MC, Raine, and Marty are the only ones left in the bar.
“Ok Mr. Vanderbilt, you and your fiance are free to go.” Sanchez ordered.
“I already told you I am not his fiance! Nor am I going anywhere with him!” Raine yelled.
Marty grabbed her arm and drug her towards the door. She’s not going easily.
“Detective? Are you just going to let him take her against her will? I mean it’s obvious to anyone with a brain that she doesn’t want to go. That’s kidnapping and you are being an accomplice by allowing it to happen right under your nose!” Jax growled.
Steele and Ice had to hold him back.
“Sorry, I don’t see any kidnapping going on.” Sanchez grinned.
“She outright told you she wasn’t going with him. You can’t see her trying to get away from him? Can’t hear her screaming No!? Do you need a hearing aid Detective Sanchez?” Jax asked.
“Nope.” He grinned.
“How much is Mr. Vanderbilt paying you to help him kidnap my girlfriend?” Jax retorted.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Sanchez laughed.
“How long are you going to hold us here?” Ice asked.
“Just long enough to search each one of you and this entire bar.” Sanchez grinned.
“Where’s your search warrant?” Jax demanded.
“Don’t need one. We had a tip called in. Then when we got here, we witnessed some questionable activities. Enough for probable cause?” Sanchez replied.
“That’s complete bullshit and you know it. You better hope you have records to back it up. Otherwise by the time my lawyer got done with you, you won’t have a career!” Jax retorted.
Sanchez and his men hold them there until the lawyer and police chief arrived. Both of them are chewing the detective out as he left.
“Jax just what in the hell have you gotten yourself into?” Ms. St. James asked.
“I want that fucker’s badge! He’s dirty. I. T. will get you a copy of tonight’s raid. I think you’ll have a lot to work with!” Jax explained.
Jax filled her in on everything that happened. And the traps are now set for Marty. He also clued her in on all the other stuff Marty has done. The guys wait there while I. T. worked his magic.
