Chapter 1255
"You think I'm in cahoots with Aurora?" Cynthia sighed helplessly. "Seems like you don't believe me. In that case, I'm leaving." Cynthia turned to leave.
"Stand right there!" Rosalie grabbed Cynthia's arm. "Make yourself clear. What exactly is going on?"noveldrama
"A few days ago, Theodore brought Aurora to the hospital for a prenatal check-up. Coincidentally, I was there that day, too. I heard Aurora's voice in the washroom and she sounded like she was talking to the kidnapper. That's when I recorded her conversation. Wasn't it such a coincidence? Every time she does something wicked, I always have the chance to record evidence of it. Even the heavens aren't on her side.
"Oh, yes. Theodore is marrying her today, and I'm attending their wedding later. Do you want this evidence or not? If not, I'll take it away and let Aurora go unpunished and become Mrs. Spencer."
"Cynthia Zeller," Rosalie asked. "Why don't you hand the evidence over to Theo yourself?"
"He'll surely blame me for not showing him the video right after I filmed it and only showing him on the day of his wedding. But it'll be different if you show it to him."
"Aren't you worried that I'll tell Theo you were the one who provided me with the evidence?" Rosalie asked.
"That's the thing," Cynthia said. "You can't tell him that I gave you the evidence. As for how you got your hands on the evidence, you'll just have to make something up. You're running out of time. Are you really going to let Theo marry a woman like her? There's concrete evidence now. Do you want me to send it to you?"
Rosalie stretched her hand. "Give me the evidence. I promise to give you what you asked for."
Cynthia pulled out a contract from her bag and handed it to Rosalie. "This is the shares transfer agreement. Sign it."
Rosalie took the contract over and saw that the recipient wasn't Cynthia but a company she had never heard of.
"Is this company yours?" Rosalie asked.
"I'm not that stupid to let you transfer the shares directly to me," Cynthia said. "If Theo found out what you did, he'd wonder why the shares are with me. Of course I have to use another foreign entity. Sign it, quick."
Rosalie signed the contract.
"Excellent!" Cynthia glanced at the contract briefly before putting it aside. "There's one more thing I need from you."
"Cynthia Zeller, don't push your luck! Give me the evidence, or you can forget about leaving this place today."
"Don't be anxious. It's very simple.
Vel
Promise me that you won't tell anyone about me giving you the evidence and you transferring the shares to me."
"I promise you."
"That's not enough," Cynthia said. "What if you tell Theo about it anyway?"
"What exactly do you want me to do? Sign a confidentiality agreement? Take it out and I'll sign it!"
"That's not necessary. I want you to swear that you'll never tell anyone about it," Cynthia said.
Rosalie took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay. I swear that I'll never tell anyone about what happened today, or I'll die a terrible death."
"No, I'm not convinced with you swearing upon yourself," Cynthia said. "Swear upon your son. Swear that if you tell anyone about what happened today, your son will die a terrible death."
Smack!
Rosalie slapped Cynthia hard and snarled furiously, "That's my bottom line! Don't you dare bring my child into this!"
Cynthia cupped her cheek which felt
hot and fiery. Instead of getting angry, she chuckled coldly, "In that case, you can forget about the evidence and I'll forget about this contract, too."
She flung the contract on the floor and turned to leave.
