“I just hope they don’t fight” Sydney said as her secretary was looking at her confused because she didn’t know who she was talking about.

“That would be all for now” she said as her secretary finished giving her the required documents.

When she saw Paxton enter his office he looked calm and collected and that kind of made her know that the brothers never fought.

But something had not changed Paxton was still ignoring her which by the way made her to feel bad because their work was always great when they discussed options and whatnot but now it was monotone and boring and she was scared to even have a look at him.

She was scared she might say something which might piss him off or something.

Well in order not to cause any drama she focused on work and didn’t raised her head even once although she could feel his eyes burn into her head as she focused on her work.

After a long day at work it was finally time to get back home as she passed by Jaxton’s office it showed he had already left and he had not even called her the entire day.

“Well he just might be extremely busy” she said to herself.

She entered her car and drove the car to the house but not without stopping at a fast food eatery.

When she got to her house she then went onto do her night routine and then she went to the kitchen.

Checking the cabinets she realized she had not gotten time to go grocery shopping.

“Damn, all I have at home is bread and jam and jam and bread” she commented as even the cabinet for instant noodles was empty.

“I’ll have to go grocery shopping this weekend I’ll need money too” she said to no one butr herself because she was at home alone.

“Oh, lucky enough tomorrow is pay day” she said as she skipped off with the ja and bread in hand she wanted to binge watch some movies but unfortunately for her that was not going to be possible.

She had worked her ass off the entire day and having to have Paxton not give her the time of day was nerve aching because she had just settled her problems with one brother and now the other was giving her the cold shoulder.

Today had some sort of different vibes as she was excited to get to work.

She sure was happy she would make her way to the office but it didn’t show on her face because she was just not eraly as she used to be.

“Curse insomnia” she said as she wore her heels.

“Oh goodness I am happy I don’t have to put some make up” she said as she hurried out of the house.

“Oh no! Now the traffic God be my helper she prayed as she paved her way and fortunately she was a minute early than the white brothers.

Everyone seemed to be in high spirits and even Sydney inclusive she was in high spirits because of course her account was going to swell up today with the bonus inclusive too.

When she got into her office she was pleased to find that the office was not tensed as it has been for the past days because of her issues with the brothers.

“Do I have any pending works that have to be done?” she asked her secretary who had just greeted her.

“Yes Mr. Paxton White request for you” her secretary said to her.

“Okay” she responded as she went she didn’t know what to expect.

She walked to the office the problem was she was not certain of how he was going to respond to her.

“Good morning sir you sent for me” She greeted expecting to be ignored and for the business of the day.

“Good morning Sydney how are you doing today?” he asked.

She was surprised he had responded but she didn’t show how excited she was to him.

“So today you would be meeting with a client of ours as I have a clash with appointment and I trust you to do the job for me perfectly well are you disposed?” he asked her with a raised eyebrow.

“Of course sir I don’t have any appointments for myself today so I can do that I just need a heads up for what the meeting is all about and the venue for the meeting” she asked.

“Oh yes, you would have the meeting at the Hilton hotel at the mainland, and then you would have to make sure you are there on time” Paxton said..

“On it sir” Sydney said.

“And for the records please could you tell your man before leaving I wouldn’t want a drama spree at the office it is becoming too rampant and unprofessional” he said with a smile which well, didn’t reach his eyes but then again it is what it is.

Sydney knew how vile and blunt with his words but not like this, and even if she was tired of the constant fighting and stuff she was not sure she was pleased with the way his words slurred out of his mouth.

“Okay sir” she responded and left the office straight for the business meeting.

It all went well and everything was settled and the Sydney came to the office and she had to finish signing some documents when Paxton passed by her office and noticed she was still there.

“Why are you still at the office” Paxton asked as he entered her office.

“Just wanted to sign these papers and also thanks for the bonus it’s quite huge I saw an alert” she said with a little smile.

“Okay see you tomorrow” he said and smiled.

She got to her car wondering what it was Paxton wanted because he was acting strange.
