“Here is your food sir/ma’am” the waiter said as they savored the aroma of the food.

“Thank you for the food, it looks delicious right Paxton?” Sydney said and the waiter smiled at the appreciation that went a long way to say it was possible many people didn’t appreciate his services or not.

“Yes it sure does look beautiful and delicious I can’t wait to have it down my throat then” She happily said.

She looked so childlike as she happily began to munch on the food.

They ate their food in total silence no one talking just enjoying the juiciness of what was in front of them.

Suddenly, she noticed that Paxton picked up his phone scrolled through some pictures and then smiled into the phone before he dropped the phone and then went on to eat his phone humming a tune.

Surprise at his sudden smile and how bright his eyes were she had never noticed how beautiful he looked when he smiled so she had to do what anyone who would want to know more would, she had to ask.

“What makes you smile so much? Oh I bet it’s your girlfriend, or maybe you are planning to propose to someone?” she asked.

She was just curious to know what it was that had made him smile so much and this cause Paxton to blush in embarrassment she was dazed for a moment at his smile and didn’t hear what he was saying.

“Sydney, it is almost time for us to go back I think our break is over” Paxton said but Sydney was not even getting the response he had expected because she was just far in thoughts.

“Earth to Sydney” he snapped his fingers.

“Oh my, what were you saying?” she asked.

“Well you were all dazed and seemed to be in deep thoughts and also you seemed to have beady eyes why is that?” Paxton asked, embarrassed she bend her head in a shy gesture as she was not happy at what he had caught her doing because it seemed like he knew all what she was thinking of.

She felt somewhat transparent, like she could see through him.

She was not supposed to be looking at him in such a manner to begin, she was just supposed to be with him just as colleagues and maybe someday as his sister-in-law.

“Is everything fine Sydney, you looked so flushed maybe there is something you are not telling me?” He asked her because her face was flushed and she looked like she had seen a ghost or something.

“No I am fine nothing is wrong” she responded to what he had to say.

“Okay, I thought something was wrong” he said and she nodded signifying a big no.

“But you seem utterly too excited than you were this morning when you returned” Sydney said.

“Nah, this food seems to be giving me a much positive vibe than I have ever tasted before” Paxton said.

He didn’t want to let her know what it was he was looking at, it might just cause a rift between them and maybe make her begin to avoid him.

He continued eating and simultaneously staring at his phone in some sort of awe.

She was curious as to why he had been smiling so brightly and happy, he seemed to be in a super good mood this afternoon as compared to the person who had waltzed into the office at midday with a foul mood.

“May I be excused, I wish to use the men’s room?” Paxton asked with a big smile on his face and she nodded head she finished the ice cream cone she was holding in hand.

Once he had gone into the rest room she knew it was wrong but when he kept his phone and it was unlocked she decided to pry.

Of course she wanted to see if her future brother in law was madly in love with someone or it was just something else.

If it was a woman then she might just have to find who this was and befriend her so that she would make a best friend when they got married to the brothers.

It was a wild imagination but again it had to be worth it if she tried.

She picked up the phone looking to see it so that he wouldn’t come see her checking his phone because she knew everyone had their secrets and maybe this was his secret yet she was prying the phone open.

“No this isn’t right Sydney don’t do it” she gave herself a pep talk.

She sent her hand and pulled it back.

“You shouldn’t be prying into people’s businesses, but he isn’t people he is your friend. But what if he catches me?” she kept having a mental battle in her head.

“Well if you hurry you would be able to take a peek and then keep his phone and you would be able to tease him with it” she said to herself.

Finally she made up her mind, it was like a woman having conflicting ideas of an angel and a demon on her shoulders and guess what? She chose the demon’s words because she finally picked up the phone and noticed it was unlocked.

“What? Why does he have these? I don’t even have these photos in my gallery yet he has them?” Sydney asked no one in particular a she had seen pictures of herself and it showed that she was the one whom he was looking at.

“I need to ask him why he is checking this, and why was he smiling too?” she asked extremely confused.

“Damn seems I have become a mad woman as I speak to myself all the time” Sydney face palmed herself.

She couldn’t fathom the thought of him ogling her pictures when he knew she was his brothers woman it made no sense right now.
