Chapter 95 She Runs Into Louis
After working as a receptionist in the lobby, Blanche went to the bathroom to touch up her makeup. She was really nervous just now. And her makeup was smudged.
Her phone dinged.
Blanche turned on the phone and found a message from Erin.
"Blanche, are you used to doing this job? The foreman is going through menopause. She's a little weird. You just have to go along with it.” Blanche locked down and texted her back.
I ran into Louis. He's here for dinner."
"Huh? Did he recognize you?"
"Yes." Blanche sent a shrug emoji.
"Oh na! Crap! He must be pretty pissed off! As the daughter-in-law of the Herbart family, you've already had hundreds of billions of dollars. But you still work as a waitress. He must be furious. I'm so selfish. I only thought of travelling with my mom. Sorry to put you through this.”
"Stop joking! What hundreds of billions of assets? It has nothing to do with me. Don’t worry about it. It's not a big deal. He's always hated me. Have fun! Alright. I'm busy.”
Blanche had just come out of the bathroom moments before the foreman called out to her. “Hurry over here and join me in serving the food.”
Blanche followed the foreman up the stairs. Then she came to the door of a large private room. Her jaw dropped when she glanced at the very large food cart. Blanche thought, ‘Could it be that the person ordering food on the face of this place is the king? That guy ordered such a feast. '
The foreman said, "I'm telling you, when you get into the room, you'd better be quick. You have to hold the plates steady. Don't spill the soup on the guests. The price of a suit worn by these people is equivalent to our annual salary."
Blanche nodded obediently. The moment Blanche gently pushed the door open and saw the person inside. she felt her head buzz to the point of cracking. Louis was there!
Blanche took a deep breath. She wondered why she hadn't checked the calendar before she left the house. Before the foreman could give her a warning look, Blanche lowered her head, pushed the cart in, and started serving the food.
Blanche stood next to Henry as she served the food. At this point, Henry was leisurely sizing up Blanche.
Blanche was speechless. She didn't know what Henry was looking at, but she had a bad feeling about it. She hurriedly put the dishes on the table and wanted to get out quickly.
Blanche sensed the serious atmosphere in the room. No one was smiling. They seemed to be at an impasse, and Blanche wondered what they were talking about that was so serious.
Blanche thought it was great that Louis hadn't looked at her at all.
And the man sitting across from Louis had a horrible tattoo on his neck that made Blanche feel her scalp tingle. The tattoo looked like a boa constrictor wrapped around his neck, which looked horrible.
Blanche saw the man with the tattoo on his neck shooting a look at his subordinate sitting next to him. The subordinate then placed a document in front of him on the glass table and gently turned the table. Then the document appeared in front of Louis.
"Mr. Herbart. please review this contract for the purchase of raw jewellery. We have previously negotiated with Wilburn. Originally, we were scheduled to sign the contract today. Since Wilburn has gone overseas to study, and you are in charge of his previous business, I had to find you to sign the contract.”
Louis lowered his eyes, skimmed the contract in front of him, picked it up, flipped through it. and tossed the document away. "I can't sign it. Herbart Group won't be involved in this project.” Suddenly, Logan snapped his palm on the table. "Mr. Herbart, are you seriously not signing this contract?"
Blanche was so frightened that her hands shook. Logan smashed the table hard. Luckily, she had finished serving the dishes. Then she was ready to get out of there and away from this mess.
Henry took out his mobile phone and tapped it.
Cranky Logan got a message. After looking at his phone, he fixed his gaze on Blanche, who was walking out the door with a frown on her face Quickly, he raised his hand and pointed at Blanche.
"Stand still. You stay here and pour the drinks for me."
Blanche paused. Her heart did a flip.
The foreman immediately smiled and said, "Sir, I'll stay here and pour the wine for you. She's new to the job. She's very clumsy."
Logan said angrily, "Since I asked her to stay. she has to stay. Shut up! Get out of here.”
The foreman looked embarrassed. She looked at Blanche and walked away. And she motioned Blanche to serve the guests well with her eyes. Blanche was confused for a moment. She realized that Louis was looking at her with a look se terrifying it could have devoured her.
Blanche pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes. Then. she looked at Logan and looked at Henry again. Just now, she saw Henry take out his mobile phone. Soon, Logan received a message.
"Mr. Herbart. I'm sorry. I was too impulsive. Let's eat first." Logan suddenly changed his attitude and put on a kind smile. Sam forced a smile.
"Mr. Larson, you change your attitude pretty fast. I've heard you have a temper. You said you were going to kill Mr Herbart’s whole family if you didn’t get signed this time. Is that true?"
Blanche gazed blankly. She thought, ‘Te kill his whole family? Does that include me?’
"Mr. Turner, you are joking. I've had very complisated experiences, so I'm not afraidMe get into trouble. If I => want to do something, I'm going to maketh. So, I hope Mr. Herbartdakes a goad look at the contract. Men, lets sign the contract."

"It seems that what you said is true."
"Mr. Herbart. I know your business is quite big. but you have to be honest. Herbart Group has already agreed to sign the contract with me, so I can't accept that you suddenly decide not to sign it."
Louis grunted and sneered, “Herbart Group? Wilburn doesn't represent the Herbart Group. The quality of your company's raw jewellery isn't good enough. Herbart Group only sells top-quality jewellery, so we can't sign a contract with you."
Logan lifted a hand to brush his hair. He was hollow-cheeked and looked fierce. After looking up in one direction, he gulped down the wine in front of him and pointed it straight at Blanche.
"Come here. Can't you see my glass is empty? Pour me some wine.” Blanche had no reason to refuse. Then she took a bottle of red wine over to Logan and poured it for him. However, the moment she stepped back, Logan changed his mind.
Logan then said in a nasty tone, "I don't want any more wine. Take the red wine away. Make me a cup of tea

Blanche left the private room. Soon, she brought in a small tea cup and started making tea. "Mr Larson, you have a very special taste." Louis lit a cigarette and blew a smoke ring. Logan grunted and laughed. He had a sly look on his face.
"Mr. Herbart. you should see I'm a roughneck. I'm not used to red wine. I might as well have some tea to refresh myself.”
A sharp look flashed across Louis’ eyes. Then he tropped his eyes to Blanche, wk was quietly making tea. He saw that Blanche was wearing.@ decent professional sult that wrapped around her curvy~’ figure. Then Louis pressed iis toyimb against the knuckl le.of his index finger. His eyes suddenly grew deep.
While Blanche was making the tea, she looked pretty good at making it. She used her fingers to briskly pour hot water over the tea cup of the clay pot. Then the aroma of tea wafted out
Sam looked over at Louis and whispered, "Mr. Herbart, Logan is looking for a beating. He even asked Mrs. Herbart to make tea. Nice try. My fingers are itching. I want to hit him."
"No rush." Louis ordered in a calm voice.
Sam had to hold back his anger. Then he glanced at Logan, who was sitting across from him, and remained still. "Why haven't you made the tea yet? Hurry up! I'm thirsty." Logan urged Blanche impatiently.
Blanche mentally cursed Logan, but she kept her calm demeanor.
"Just a minute.”
