Sasha nodded, wondering when she became such an efficient liar. She felt so ashamed of herself. Lying to Tilly felt like torture. She was also worried about Kaleb. He’d never called to ask her why she didn’t show up. At first, she’d dismissed it by telling herself that maybe he was just busy, but now it seemed like he probably didn’t want to talk to her.
And she couldn’t blame him.

A week had passed, and Sasha found herself even more upset about Kaleb’s silence. Did he even think of her at all? She wondered. She felt like she spent a great deal of time thinking about him for someone she just had a one night stand with. Sometimes she missed him and wanted to call him, and other times she was furious at him.
He’d invited her to go to Rome with him for God’s sake! Was that something he did all the time? Give a girl the best sex of her life, ask her to go away with him to one of the most romantic cities in the world and then disappear? How cruel!
A week had passed and still hadn’t returned. She wondered if he was okay. Sasha tossed and turned in her bed until finally, unable to help herself, she grabbed her phone and dialed his number. It rang for a while, and then stopped ringing. The ‘line busy’ notification on her phone made her even more furious. The jerk had disconnected the call without even picking up to hear what she had to say!
Her suspicions were confirmed. Kaleb Luthor was ignoring her and although that made her sad, she felt even more furious before. So she texted him.
‘Ignoring my calls now, Kaleb?’
There was no reply for a while, and just as she was about to give up and stop waiting for a text back, her phone beeped.
‘What the hell do you think?’ came his reply.
Sasha didn’t know whether to laugh, cry or scream. She tried to keep her cool, but it was getting harder by the second.
‘Why didn’t you pick up when I called you?’
‘I was busy. Can’t talk on the phone’
Sasha couldn’t hold back anymore. ‘Busy with what? Work or your girlfriend?’ She knew she sounded like a jealous freak, but she didn’t care.
‘I don’t think that’s any of your business. What do you want?’
Sasha was hurt. Guess all she really was to him was a one night stand, ‘Do you have to be such a jerk? You left a week ago and didn’t even bother to check up on me. I’m sure that if I didn’t reach out to you right now, you wouldn’t either’
‘I was busy. Now I can’t talk about this right now. Like I said, I’m busy. We can talk about this later. And just so you know, you acted like a jerk first. I’m just following in your footsteps. Not so nice now, is it?’
Sasha blinked. She couldn’t believe it, but she had no one else to blame but herself. She had thrown herself at him and this was the result, but it was a mistake she wasn’t going to make again. ‘I was worried that you hadn’t returned, and I wanted to sure everything was alright with you. But don’t worry. We don’t have to talk about it or anything else. I will never speak to you again!’
‘That’s fine by me!’

The following morning Sasha woke up late from the fatigue. Luckily it was Sunday and she had no plan for the day. A sleazy breakfast of cereal and milk was the only thing available. Tilly came over to hang out and was grinning stupidly over some texts while Sasha was too busy with her own thoughts to pay any attention to anything.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
“Hey? Having a silent oath? You’re not even eating.” Tilly said. She abandoned her phone and fixed her attention towards Sasha. “What’s on your mind?”
Sasha stared at her, “Nothing”
“Oh come on. I can tell you’ve been acting weird for the past few days. What is going on with you, and since when did you start keeping things from me? Did I do something wrong or do you not trust me anymore?”
Sasha shook her head. “Of course not. Don’t think like that Tilly. You know I love you”
“Then what the hell is going on? Is something wrong at school? With your truck…. Or is it a guy?”
Sasha couldn’t hide the heat that rushed to her cheeks, and Tilly’s eyes widened, “Oh my Goodness. It is a guy! Who is he? Who is he?” Tilly was almost jumping in her seat now.
Sasha closed her eyes. “No one,” she said, “I mean, you don’t know him…”
“It doesn’t matter,” Tilly said, still excited. “You have to tell me everything! Where did you meet him?”
Sasha stared at her. She figured she could tell Tilly some things but she didn’t have to know all the details, plus she was dying to tell someone about it as it was eating her up inside.
“Look, it doesn’t matter how or where I met him” she began, “The thing is, he already has a girlfriend…”
“Oh” said Tilly,
“But then I had sex with him,” Sasha muttered out of the blue, causing Tilly to choke on her cereal as she had just taken a spoonful. “Last week,” she added, glancing up at her.
“You did what? Oh my God! I knew something was up with you but I never imagined it could be this extreme.” Tilly tossed the food aside, enticed.
Sasha let out a short sigh. “I don’t know how to explain,” she uttered.
“From the start, maybe?” Tilly urged.
Sasha chuckled lightly. “Well, He just ended up here somehow one night.
He was the one who sent those flowers you saw the other day. We talked… and during the talk we just . . . We just did it. We had sex.” She bit her bottom lip coyly.
“Okay,” Tilly uttered. “How was it? Tell me! Tell me how the sex was, tell me!” she cried.
She was ever-curious, and Sasha wondered if her reaction would be the same if she knew that they were talking about Kaleb. She knew it would be very different.
“It was great?” Sasha flushed at the memory of Kaleb’s control over her body, all flips and twirls . . . Boy, his kisses and touches. She felt the heat. “No, it’s the best I’ve ever had.” She eyed Tilly, who was practically jumping with excitement.
