Debate With Father
In a very large mansion, Mr. Kevin’s girl Raya was walking to her bedroom. The bedroom was very far from the main door if walked to and it had to pass through the living room first. It turned out that there was already the father reading the newspaper while sipping his coffee. Let’s not forget that there was a burly man standing next to her who wanted to report something but was stopped after seeing Raya walk past him. Raya continued walking without a care or a greeting to her father who was sitting in the living room chair. When her foot had just climbed the number one staircase, a voice interrupted her and made her stop her next step to listen further to what the old man down there was saying.
“Go back with Gifer, if you want to get what you want again. Your shop won’t be able to succeed if it just sits there without promotion,” the girl instantly froze.
‘What is this? My father wants me to go back to Gifer? What, no pride or something? I will never go back to that blind Gifer, ever! I only love Indra, he’s loyal and has always helped me with all my problems. No, I have to refuse your wishes this time.’ She said to herself. The intention of returning home in order to cool the mind that had been hot when he was in his shop, but when he arrived at the magnificent and tall building instead got a request that was not in accordance with his wishes, made him very angry. His hands were clenched so tightly that his fingernails turned white. Hearing Gifer’s name always mentioned by the old man made Raya uneasy, let alone dating again? Oh, that would never happen again.
“I will never go back to that blind man, Father!” Raya’s eyes turned red as she stared at her father, who was far away from her eyes. Hearing her daughter’s denial made her father unhappy and chose to deny it as well, resulting in an argument.
“Watch your mouth, Raya! Gifer may be blind, but his brain is not as blind as yours!” The father was no less angry as he pointed at Raya with his index finger. The girl just rolled her eyes lazily, she was tired of facing the attitude of her father who always managed her life. Even her own chosen partner.
“Whatever Dad, I want to rest, I don’t want to argue. What is clear, I emphasize again. I will never go back to the blind man, keep that in mind if you still want me to be called a father!” Raya’s words made Mr. Kevin even more angered by his daughter who didn’t want to obey any of his orders. He wanted Raya to go back to Gifer and persuade him to return to the company that he had taken from Raya. Because only Gifer can save the company with his intelligence and dexterity.
“You’re so bad at being unlucky, Raya! You have no manners even with your own parents!” Raya covered her ears with both hands so she wouldn’t hear her father’s tirade against her. Arriving at the door of the room, she immediately opened the door and entered, not forgetting to close it again and lock it. Behind the door, Raya leaned back and cried while covering her mouth with both hands, her body gradually slumping towards the cold floor that had touched her buttocks. She sat there sobbing her heart out.
“Am I actually your biological daughter or not? Why have you always used me for company business? I never even loved Gifer, but you always forced me to have a relationship with Gifer in order to save the company? Am I a doll like Gifer used to make that you can play with at will? Hiks… hiks… “Raya talked to herself while crying bitterly lamenting her terrible fate. Yes, from the beginning she never loved Gifer. That was also the reason why she did not want to be touched by Gifer at all when dating that man. From the beginning of their courtship, Raya had no feelings for Gifer. It was just a request from her father to accept Gifer as her son’s lover because of business issues. During their courtship, she always asked Gifer for this and that so she could go shopping, asking Gifer to take her here and there just for unimportant things. Gifer also only complied with his wishes because the man loved Raya, which was in stark contrast to Raya. Even until Gifer got into an accident, it was a golden opportunity for Raya to get away from Raya by utilizing the situation by calling Gifer a blind man who couldn’t do anything.

The ‘Ability to Read’ Foundation was now still quiet, as seen by Bang Martin and Nova who were still waiting for a child to register to learn to read and write for huruhf braille, but it didn’t seem to happen. Making the two of them who had prepared brochures took the initiative to spread throughout the city of Jakarta. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
“Bang Martin, where should we start distributing this? If it’s in a crowd, they won’t read our brochures and will throw them away,” The girl next to the tall man looked down, looking at the brochure still clutched in her hand. Bang Martin himself was just standing while holding some of the brochures as well. Nova simply reminded Bang Martin as well as anticipating past incidents that had occurred when handing out brochures to passers-by as a result, their brochures were not read and were just thrown away on the streets.
“I think we’ll stick it on the bulletin board and on the electric pole instead,” broke up Bang Martin trying to make suggestions, Nova just nodded in response.
“But by the way, where are Gifer and Haris? They said they were going to help us distribute flyers, but there’s no sign of them at all,” Nova’s brow furrowed, even to the point of her eyebrows coming together. Still surprised by Gifer and Haris’ absence.
“They will definitely come. Maybe in a while, they never break their promises,” Bang Martin replied confidently and sure that the two people they were waiting for would come in just a few minutes.
“Alright, let’s just wait for them.”
Shortly after that, there were two young men, one wearing a long white shirt with two buttons deliberately opened at the top, black cloth pants, and don’t forget the walking stick and sunglasses. On his feet were black shoes without socks. Meanwhile, the other young man was wearing a long brown shirt and black cloth pants, as well as black shoes. The two of them walked hand in hand to where Bang Martin and Nova were standing.
“Wow, what is this? Why are you guys so neat? Like you want to apply for a job,” quipped Bang Martin and Nova laughed a little because of the different appearance of his two coworkers. How could it not be? Usually when teaching they both only wear casual clothes, but now they were wearing office clothes.
“Don’t laugh, Bang Martin! Our style is to attract their interest so that they want to register their blind children for reading courses in our place. It’s a kind of sales,” Haris explained. Gifer nodded along.
“Yes, Bang Martin. So later we can also promote it, not just distributing brochures,” suggested Gifer who had a very brilliant idea.
“Yes, but … whatever you want, the important thing is that the brochure is delivered well and not thrown away,” said Nova.
“Yups, that’s right,” Haris replied while showing his thumb.
“Come on, let’s not go later.”
