Chapter 21 Apologize
Looking at Anya, who came out of the bathroom in disheveled clothes and red eyes, my face turned ghostly white! After all, it didn't need to be a genius to know what happened back in the bathroom, after looking at her.
The thing I dreaded the most happened at last.
Evan had never fully forgotten Anya and I know it.
I tried my best to hide the hatred in my eyes, as Evan was still there, and I didn't want to ruin my image in his eyes.
However, I clenched my fists and thought to myself, 'I will not give that bitch a chance to flirt with Evan again!'
Frowning, Anya looked at me and asked, "What are you doing?"
However, I merely snake. Then, I turned around and slammed my head against the wall. In an instant, my forehead was swollen.
Then, I collapsed on the floor and started moaning, "Ouch! It's hurt. Don't hit me, Anya! Please help!"
And as I expected, Evan heard my voice and rushed inside in a hurry.
Then, he walked up to me and asked, "What's going on?"
I held my head, looked at Anya in horror, and said weekly, "Anya, she hits me! She just hits me!"
Evan looked at my forehead and examined my wound.
"It hurts!" I sobbed, looking at him pitifully.
Evan was fully convinced by me. He then looked at Anya and said coldly, " Anya, Walter! How could you do that to Tina? She is your sister!"
Anya tried hard not to roll her eyes and said, "She hit the wall herself, and I never touched her. I had nothing to do with it."
"Oh stop it! Do you think Tina is stupid? Why would she ran herself into the wall?"
"Fine, fine, what do you want the?" Anya asked, looking at us wearily. Her eyes were filled with disdain.
"I want you to apologize to Tina!"
Hearing that, Anya narrowed her eyes. Folding her arms in front of her chest, she looked at me and Evan coldly.
"This is no drama show. What's the point of playing such little tricks?" she said icily.
I said nothing, but deep down, I was laughing.
There was no camera in the conference room. So, even if Anya was innocent, who would know?
What's more, it didn't matter at all what anyone else thought, as long as Evan believed it.
"Anya, I know you hate me and don't want to see me. I will try not to show up while you are around. I can even forgive you for attacking me, but my face," I cried as I turned to Evan, "Oh no, Evan, my face. Will I be disfigured?" Evan stole a glance at the wound and tried to comfort me, "Its just a small cut. It will recover soon."
"Oh, no," I wailed, "But we are supposed to take wedding photos next month! How can I do that with the wound? Will there be a hideous scar?"
Evans frowned a little impersonally, but his voice was still gentle. "No, there will not be any scar trust me!"
Then, he turned and fixed his eye on Aanya as said coldly, "And if there is any scar, even the slightest, Anya Walter, I will cut your face for it." "Oh, for the last time, it's not me! Believe it or not, I am going to work. You keep up with this... Well, whatever this is."
Anya said as she was about to leave. However, her attitude made Evan more furious as he shouted, "Stop!"
"What now?" Anya glared back at Evan.
"I want you to apologize to Tina!" Evan said, with no temperature in his cold eyes.
Anya sneered, "Evan Cater, you are pathetic!" saying that, she turned to leave.
"I said stop right there!" Evan yelled like a maniac.
"What else do you want?"
Evan looked at Anya coldly. From the look on his face, I could tell that he was not going to let Anya go that easily, and it made me delighted.
"You are not getting out of here until you apologize!"
"Or What?" Anya asked crisply.
Evan sneered, "Apologize to Tina. If Tina forgives you, you can go. Or this matter will not end easily. I will make you pay dearly!"
At that moment, as I was leaning weakly in Evan's arms, squeezed out some tears and said, "Evan, forget it! My sister is in a bad mood. She probably just acted on impulse. Don't make things difficult for her!" Evan's POV:
I didn't say anything and just looked at Anya with blazing eyes.
He didn't want to stand up for Tina in the first place, but Anya's cold attitude infuriated me.
I could not stand Anya's cold, dismissive attitude towards me.
At this time, her attitude was what I cared about the most. Even if she just said a single word, I would let go of this matter.
Unfortunately, Anya still didn't give up and just stood there coldly.
"Last warning, woman! Get down on your knees and apologize! Otherwise, I will find your sons, and they will be sorry for you!"
Anya's face changed instantly.
"Alright, I will apologize. Stand up, Tina. I will get down on my knees!"
"You don't have to, Anya! Oh, Evan, don't be so hard on her!" Tina said, however, her body seemed to be more honest and she had already been on her feet. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
My heart ached.
I was just trying to humiliate Anya, to see her get mad.
I never really wanted Anya to kneel in front of another woman. However, she had already agreed.
"Anya don't get down on your knees! Just say you are sorry, and I will forgive you! You know me, I never like holding a grudge..."
However, before Tina could finish her words, Anya took off and kicked Tina hard right in the stomach!
"Ouch..." caught off guard, Tina stumbled back a few steps and slammed into the wall!
Me and Tina both looked at Anya in shock, as we didn't expect her to do something like this.
Anya looked back at me indifferently and said, "See? Now, this one is on me."
I was completely enraged. "You asked for it, Anya!" I growled.
Taken control by my anger, I approached Anya with several steps and reached out to grab her neck.
I was taller than Anya, so as I approached her, she was instantly swallowed by my shadow.
Suddenly a buzzing sound of electricity came into my ears and before I could seize Anya's neck, she struck first.
She took a stun gun out of her pocket and stunned me without hesitation.
The powerful electric current went rampaging all over my body, disabling me for a moment. I was almost passed out. Time seemed to freeze for a while.
I felt so weak, but luckily, I was strong enough not to pass out on the stop.
