Chapter 362 I Don't Want To See You

Chapter 362 I Don't Want To See You

In front of Jean, stood Jesse. She was wearing a black facial mask.

Her beautiful face was covered with black mud and only her pair of big eyes could be seen.

Seeing Jean was scared to death by her sight, Jesse leaned forward to help her. But Jean flinched and

got rid of Jesse's hand.

Jesse shrugged her shoulder to show her innocence and looked at Zed with a blank face, as he

entered.

After a while, Jean's fear slowly faded away. She stared at Jesse with hatred-filled eyes.

When she was in the living room earlier, there was only a small lamp in the corner.

Since she was upset, she didn't think too much and planned to walk upstairs.

When she walked past the sofa, she suddenly felt a coldness pass through her spine. Someone

strangled her neck tightly from behind.

Since the light was dim, she couldn't make out who it was. Fear flashed through her mind and she

shuddered. A scene of Joy strangling her was reflected in her mind.

At that moment, her heart almost stood still with fright. She was scared to death.

Luckily, Zed hurriedly came in upon hearing the commotion. The person choking her from behind

changed the position.

Before Jean could turn back to see who it was, Jesse walked from her behind and stood in front of her.

There was a devilish smirk on her face.

At the sight of her, Jean was startled and almost cried out again.

This time, she wanted to curse her hard.

'Did this shameless woman want to strangle me?' wondered Jean.

Seeing Jean breathing heavily with her face dreadfully pale, Zed came over and held her with care.

Shivering, Jean's legs almost buckled and she stood gripping tightly on Zed's arm. In short, her whole

body was limp because of the fear.

Seeing her like this, Zed worried and held out another hand to hold her tightly.

Seeing the scene in front of her, Jesse laughed coldly in her mind.

'Once a bitch, always a bitch, ' thought Jesse.

"Brother Zed..." Jesse put on an innocent expression on her face and looked at Zed pitifully,"I just

played a joke on Jean. I didn't mean to scare her like this. It was all my fault..."

After finishing her sentence, Jesse made a polite bow to Jean to apologize.

Zed was confused. 'Jesse is only wearing a mask. Why would Jean freak out so much?

Though I have hardly seen Jean wearing a mask, how can a mask scare a person?'

Hearing Jesse's explanation, he understood a little.

Pretending to be angry, he reproached,"Jesse, you are an adult. You should act like an adult, not so

childishly. If you scare Jean next time, I'll be truly angry with you."

'Next time? I was almost scared to death, but you are not even angry with her now, '

thought Jean, with her anger magnified listening to his friendly tone.

'Zed, you keep standing up for her in front of me. What are you doing?

You said that you were only like siblings. But if it comes down to me and Jesse, you will always take

her side.

How can I believe you?

You believe everything she said but you never cared to ask me what truly happened.'

Jean closed her eyes and her face turned paler because she was so disappointed with Zed.

"I won't, brother Zed. I am sorry, Jean. I didn't think you would be this sad." Jesse held up her hands

over her head, as if she was surrendering.

Seeing that Jesse had realized her mistake, Zed relieved and looked at Jean. "It's all right. Forget

about it now."

Jean cast a cold stare at Zed, with disappointment and despair. Finally, she angrily broke loose from

his embrace and quickly ran upstairs.

Seeing Jean run away, Jesse was ecstatic in her mind, but she didn't show her ecstasy on her face.

Zed was embarrassed since Jean suddenly lost her temper and ran away. He turned to Jesse and

said,"It's all right. Go back to your room and have a rest. It's very late."

"Jean looks really upset. Brother Zed, is she really okay?" she looked at Zed and asked discreetly, with

fake guilt written on her face. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't played the joke, things wouldn't have been like

this."

"Jesse, it's not your fault." Zed's tone sounded serious and he continued,"You go back to your room."

A victorious smile played on Jesse's lips. "Okay, brother Zed. Good night." The moment Jesse turned

around, she couldn't hold her ecstasy any more and let out a happy glee.

'Jean, you are so easily scared.

Now what? Do you feel uncomfortable seeing Zed standing up for me?

Well, I will keep torturing you like this until you leave Zed willingly.'

Zed stood still and looked at the empty living room with a worried expression. Finally, he let out a deep

breath helplessly and walked upstairs.

As expected, the door of the bedroom was locked. He couldn't get in.

He meant to shout, but was afraid he would wake his grandfather.

Now he had no choice but to take out his phone. When he was about to call, he suddenly remembered

that Jean's phone had been stolen.

Zed punched on the door, annoyed. 'Will I have to sleep on the couch tonight?

No, Jean is upset and I must find out why she is so upset, ' thought Zed, looking resolute.

After thinking it through, Zed went to his study to get a thin wire. He worked his magic and the door was

opened.

When he entered, he noticed there was no one inside.

Zed realized that Jean must be in the bathroom, so he quietly closed the door and crept on the bed,

covering himself with the quilt. He meant to give Jean a surprise.

Then he suddenly remembered that Jean got scared to death by Jesse's prank and doing it again

would make her sadder.

He didn't want his surprise to turn into a scare, so he decided to do something else.

When Zed crawled out of the quilt and got off the bed, Jean pushed the bathroom door open and

walked into the bedroom, wiping her wet hair.

Since there was no time to dodge, Zed had to look at her with an embarrassed smile.

Jean stopped her steps, sensing something wrong in the room. Then, Zed's pleasing handsome face

appeared in front of her eyes.

She stared at him and wondered how he had entered the room. Then, she walked to the door, and

found the lock untouched. She went back to Zed, with a sullen face, and pointed to him angrily. "Get

out... I don't want to see you..."

"Jean..." Zed looked at her with an innocent look and said,"You can torture me as much as you want,

but please tell me the reason behind your anger."

"Reason? Will you believe me if I tell you?" Jean asked coldly.

"As long as you tell me, I'll believe it." Zed nodded sincerely.

Jean looked back at Zed in disbelief and replied coldly,"Okay then. What if I tell you Jesse almost

strangled me in the living room?"Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
