Chapter 1545 One Against Twelve
Chapter 1545 One Against Twelve
Nine tall, slender figures stood in front of the school gate of Naurity School, some dressed in suits,
some in white T-shirts and jeans, and others in highly fashionable attire. Adding to that, all of them
were hotties.
"Oh my god, they perfectly embody the male leads in those hot, middle-aged man novels!"
"The middle-aged guys online tend to be somewhat creepy, but these guys are so hot!"
"No, they can't be middle-aged, can they? Look at some of them over there… they're clearly young
men!"
"Huh, one of them seems to be the beau of Naurity University. Hold up, let me check the gossip group's
shared photos!"
The students couldn't help gossiping. After all, it was an absolutely magnificent sight.
Whose parents are these? They must be so fortunate!
Then, two teenage girls came out carrying their backpacks, one of them happily shouting, "Uncle
Anthony! Dad! Uncle Liam, Uncle Bryson, Uncle Jonas, Uncle Edward, Uncle Max, Uncle Gilbert,
Drake, Josh!"
Hold up! The students who were sneakily taking photos and observing were stunned. They're all hers?!
They couldn't believe it. They would gladly endure scolding and homework even with just one hot
parent. However, the girl had ten! All ten of them, her uncles and older brothers…
With a family like hers, her husband and his family wouldn't dare argue with her, right? Otherwise, her
uncles and older brothers would retaliate moments after their argument.
While students were still reeling in shock, they saw their school bully proceed to address the men as
Lilly did.
For a moment, the two girls became the envy of all the girls in the school.
Lilly, however, just found the spectacle strange. "What brings all of you here?"
She was stumped, for all her uncles were normally swamped with work, and it wasn't a holiday season.
So be it that those in the Human Realm had come, but even her father, Josh, and Cloud had also
showed up!
Blake took Lilly's backpack and answered, "Tomorrow is your grandmother's 70th birthday," Blake
replied as he took Lilly's backpack, shocking her. She genuinely had no idea, nor had she heard
anything from her family about it. She felt greatly frustrated.
"Hey, don't worry about it," Anthony reassured her gently. "Let's go home."
As Lilly was about to leave, she suddenly added, "Um, can we wait for Ivan for a bit?"
The Crawford men were stupefied. That rascal! He actually came all the way here! Oh, you can only be
on guard against "Lilly thieves" so much!
Just like that, everyone stayed, waiting for Ivan.
Thus, when the young man came out, he found himself being stared at by over a dozen pairs of eyes—
big and small, humans and spirits.
Ivan sat in the extended Lincoln, hands on his knees, sitting upright. Despite being surrounded by over
a dozen pairs of eyes, he remained wholly composed.
"I really came to give a speech," Ivan said. "The topic is 'Science and the Future.'"
Anthony sat in the driver's seat, one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the car window.
Through the rearview mirror, he squinted at Ivan.
Edward sat across from Ivan, occasionally cracking his knuckles. Jonas couldn't care less about his
own car anymore, leaning against the door and sizing up Ivan. Liam, on the other hand, sat beside Ivan
while Bryson crossed his arms, and Max leaned against the car window, peering inside.
Bryson smiled. "Have you really come just to give a speech?"
"Is the lecture really about 'Science and the Future' and not 'My Future with Lilly'?" Edward asked with
gritted teeth.
Josh crossed his arms and snorted. "I knew you wanted to covet Lilly while I was away! Prepare to get
beaten!"
Eight towering uncles, three menacing brothers, and a smiling yet secretly dangerous dad. Faced with
such a lineup, an ordinary person would probably have fled already. But Ivan sat upright, answering
each question without any signs of discomfort. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
"I indeed came to give a speech. Right as I returned to campus, they told me they were looking for
outstanding students to encourage the seniors in high school, and I happened to know a thing or two
about nuclear tech. So, I quickly built a model this morning to show the students, letting them know
about the promising future.
"And since Lilly is about to take the entrance exam, considering she rarely attends school in the Human
World, I thought I'd make a model to let her experience some interesting projects at university in
advance."
The Crawford men thought unanimously, You sneaky rascal!
His words conveyed several meanings: first, only outstanding individuals were chosen. Second, he
genuinely cared about the growth of his juniors. Third, he was deeply concerned about the country's
future, making him a remarkable young man. Fourth, since Lilly seldom attended class, he wanted to
give her a taste of some exciting university projects.
There was no way to refute that!
Nevertheless, the Crawford men stepped forward, taking turns to question him. After a few rounds of
questioning, they couldn't help but feel impressed. This kid has incredible composure!
Of course, they weren't truly trying to keep Lilly under their control forever; they were just concerned
about her finding the right person. However, if they were looking for someone they could all approve of,
Ivan was undeniably the person.
"But I warn you!" Edward, not wanting to admit defeat, instinctively said, "If you ever mistreat Lilly, I'll be
the first to show up at your door with a knife."
Ivan nodded, "You can trust me on that, Uncle Edward."
Edward was stumped. Wait, how did an interrogation turn into a potential son-in-law interview? And he
passed it, too! Wait, did he just call me Uncle Edward?
The other older Crawfords were just as stumped.
