Chapter 19: Do You Still Want Me to Say the Word “
By the time Wendy had finished eating breakfast, Rex had already left.
However, Clare was still there.
Wendy was a little embarrassed. “Clare, aren’t you Rex’s assistant? Why didn’t you go to the company with him?”
“Mr. Gavyn asked me to take you to the hospital.”
Wendy nodded understandingly. “Thank you.”
“That’s alright. I’m also Mr. Gavyn’s personal assistant,” Clare explained.
Watching Clare and Wendy leave, the butler shook his head as he instructed the servants to clean up the dishes.
Master Gavyn was obviously very special to Wendy, but he didn’t say it out loud.
He was stubborn.
Clare sent Wendy to the hospital, but he did not go upstairs with her.
Wendy nodded and hurried upstairs. She really wanted to know if her mother was well.
However, as soon as she entered the room and knocked down a wheelchair, Wendy hurriedly apologized, “I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose……”
“It doesn’t matter.”
A soft voice rang out. Wendy focused her gaze and saw a girl with bright features sitting in a wheelchair.
A thin wool blanket covered her legs, and the girl stared at her wrist with bright eyes. “Where did you buy this bracelet? It’s so beautiful!”
Following her gaze, Wendy saw her amethyst. “Do you like it?”
“Well.”
“Then I’ll give it to you!”
As Wendy spoke, she took off the bracelet on her wrist. The maid pushing the girl hurried forward and said in a low voice, “Miss, if Young Master finds out that you are wearing these accessories, he will be angry.”
“Just don’t tell big brother!” The girl snorted unhappily and tugged on Wendy’s hand warmly. “This bracelet looks pretty expensive. Are you really giving it to me like this?”
“Huh? Is it expensive?”
These were all given to her by the butler. Initially, Wendy didn’t want them, but the butler said she represented the Gavyn family when she went out.
“Didn’t I accidentally bump into you just now? Treat this as a little apology gift!”
The girl tugged at Wendy’s hand and left her a contact number. Wendy was anxious to see her mother, so she didn’t stay any longer.
However, seeing the young girl sitting in a wheelchair at such a young age upset her.
When she pushed open the door, Wendy saw her mother sleeping peacefully.
“Mrs. Gavyn?” Suddenly, she heard a low voice.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Wendy paused for a moment, and then the man said, “You’re Mrs. Gavyn, right? Mr. Gavyn asked us to take care of her here.”
Wendy finally understood. It turned out that Rex had hired a nursing worker.
She felt sour in her nose. Previously, the Walters family had only paid the basic medical expenses when her mother was there. They wouldn’t have spent the medical costs if it weren’t for their reputation!
“Thank you. Thank you for taking care of my mother.”
“Mrs. Gavyn, this is what I should do.”
Wendy stayed in the hospital for two hours, but her mother didn’t wake up. It looked like she was sleeping soundly.
Wendy was relieved. After she went downstairs, she saw that Clare was still waiting for her. Her eyelashes fluttered as she bought two bottles of mineral water and handed one to Clare. “Clare, have you been waiting for me long?”
“Not too long.”
Clare opened the car door and said, “Mr. Gavyn said he would have lunch with you at noon. The restaurant has already been booked.”
“Ok.”
Speaking of Rex, Wendy nodded. She still felt like she was dreaming. It was hard to imagine that she and Rex had really gotten married.
When Wendy arrived at the designated restaurant, Wendy looked at the splendid five-star restaurant and was a little speechless.
Wendy was indeed from the upper class.
Even though she was the Walters family’s young lady, her life was similar to that of a servant.
“What are you blanking out for? Do you still want me to say the word “please”?”
Rex’s contemptuous voice rang out. Wendy felt awkward and quickly stepped into the dining room under the probing gaze of the waiter.
But when she stopped in front of the dining table and saw the person opposite her, she was stunned.
“Why is she here?”
