A Flash Marriage Can Be A Treasure

Chapter 465: You Owe Him Nothing!

Chapter 465: You Owe Him Nothing!

Lily knows Tourmaline Community, which is a high-end residential area. She has made a bet with Lucy

and won an apartment in the community. However, she gave it to John later.

Leigh owns a house there?

She thinks for a while and decides to give it a shot, asking, "Did you note down the number of that

house?"

"Yes, I'll send it to you by email."

"Alright, thank you."

Lily quickly finishes her work and checks the email to get the house number. Afterwards, she tells Ella

that she has to leave work early and walks out of the company.

On the way to Tourmaline Community, Lily calls the front desk of the Lewis Group to inquire about

Leigh's whereabouts.

Leigh has gone to another province on a business trip and will be back at least three days later.

After arriving at the destination, Lily easily finds Leigh's villa with the help of the house number.

She sizes up the villa as she walks towards the gate.

The garden inside is well-tended with blooming roses, which seem to be pruned frequently. Lily can see

servants working busily in the garden.

Leigh comes here only for a few times in a month, but the villa looks good and clean. Besides, the

servants seem to live here. All this suggests that someone is living in the villa and needs looking after!

Lily concludes that Jessie must be here. Lily represses her excitement and rings the doorbell.

Soon a servant comes out.

The servant trots along the garden path to the gate and looks at Lily vigilantly, "Can I help you?"

"I'm Jessie's friend. Leigh said that Jessie didn't feel well, so I come to visit her," Lily replies carefully.

Afraid that the servant doesn't believe her, Lily shows the servant the photos she took with Leigh at

Country R.

The servant lets her guard down at the sight of those photos.

"Wait a moment. I need to make a phone call."

Lily smiles, "He can't answer your phone call now. Didn't he tell you that he went to another province on

business when he left? He probably is tied up in meetings now!"

"Mr. Leigh did say that he would be very busy these days."

Since Lily even knows Leigh's whereabouts, the servant believes that Leigh has indeed asked Lily to

see Jessie. The servant completely dispels her doubts and opens the gate. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Lily casually asks as she follows the servant into the villa, "What a lovely day! Why doesn't Jessie

come out for a walk?"

The servant sighs, "Miss Jessie seldom comes downstairs. She stays in her room all the day. Besides,

she is in low spirits. We're worried that she will have a miscarriage."

Sure enough, Jessie is hidden here!

Lily suppresses her anger and says, "I'll try and straighten her out later."

"Thank you."

The servant leads Lily to the third floor and knocks on the door, "Miss Jessie, your friend is here to see

you."

A few seconds later, a weak female voice comes from inside, "Come in."

The servant opens the door.

From the sighs of the servant, Lily can tell that Jessie is having a rough time.

Lily's heart aches when she sees Jessie's thin body and dull eyes after entering the room.

Jessie casually looks up, and her eyes widens in disbelief after she recognizes Lily.

Lily smiles at her.

Afterwards, Lily turns around and says to the servant, "You can go downstairs. We want to chat for a

while."

The servant nods, "Alright. Do you want dessert or black tea? I'll bring them up for you."

"No. We'll call you when we need."

After the servant walks out, Lily immediately closes the bedroom door.

Jessie walks over and asks gladly, "When did you come back? Look at your rosy cheeks. Your babies

must be very healthy, right?"

"The babies and I are fine. But what happened to you?" Lily stares at Jessie and bursts into tears,

"Why are you so thin? Your baby...."

She looks down at Jessie's belly and finds it flat, "You ... Haven't you been pregnant for a long time?

Why is your belly flat?"

Hearing this, the smile on Jessie's face fades.

After a long time, she purses her pale lips and says with difficulty, "I lost my babies...."

In the next hour, Jessie tells Lily everything that happens these days.

She explains why she would have a miscarriage and stay here.

Lily's face darkens as she listens to Jessie. In the end, Lily trembles and says through clenched teeth,

"Leigh is a bastard! I believe that he will be nice to you, but he betrays my trust."

"I owe it to him. I deserved it," Jessie smiles and says with studied lightness, "I called my uncle while

Leigh was asleep. Now my uncle and his family should be traveling in country R. Leigh can do anything

to me as long as he lets my uncle off."

Lily says angrily, "You owe him nothing! You indeed avenged your family, but there is nothing wrong

with that. It's his fault. He should blame his father! He's such a bastard. He actually vents his anger on

women!"

Jessie touches her belly and says dejectedly, "Now I'm pregnant again. I want to keep the baby, but I

always vomit whatever I eat. And I have no appetite..."

Every time Leigh holds her while sleeping, she will think of what she saw in the study that day. This

makes her sick.

Now she keeps the baby not for him.

It's because it really hurts to lose the two kids before. She doesn't want to experience that again, so

she wants to keep this baby.

Jessie stares at Lily's swollen belly with envy, "Are they good in your belly?"

"No, they often kicked me in the past few days. But now they're much quieter." As Lily speaks, she

recalls the duck soup thing and feels upset.

She changes the topic, "Do you have anything important here? I want to take you away."

"No." Jessie shakes her head, "Leigh is temperamental now. I don't want to implicate you. Besides, I'm

fine here."

"Bullshit! Look at yourself. You're too thin! Leigh treats you as a prisoner. He leaves you here alone and

doesn't care about you," Lily curses, her eyes brimming with tears.

She adds before Jessie can speak, "He won't do anything to me. Don't worry. I'll take you to a place

where he can't find. Then you can have a good rest."

"Lily, forget it." Jessie is still hesitating.

She doesn't want to involve Lily into this and lose her only friend.

However, Lily ignores Jessie's words and directly pulls her out.

They are stopped by the servant when arriving at the living room.

"Miss Jessie, where are you going?"

"I'm going to take her out for a walk," Lily calmly replies to the servant, "We'll be back at night."

The servant looks at Jessie and recalls Leigh's instructions, saying vigilantly, "I'll ask someone to go

with you. If you go shopping at the mall, he can carry goods for you."

Lily refuses, "No need. I have a car. Don't you trust me?"

"That's not what I meant."

"Then what do you mean? I just want to take her out for a walk. Why are you so cautious? Are you

afraid that I'll take her away?" Lily sneers and calls Leigh. Then she gives her phone to the servant,

"Fine, let your boss talk to you."

The servant apologizes and takes the phone.

However, nobody answers.
