A Divorce After My Rebirth

Chapter 55

Chapter 55 A Visit

Cedric’s face was red with fury.

He had been so determined to acquire the eastern suburbs projects, and now he had lost!

When the results were announced, he angrily threw his phone.

Two months of intense preparation involving several renowned designers and even a seasoned design

team recruited from abroad had all been in vain!

And his defeat was not at Irwin’s hands, but his wife!

Irwin had submitted the proposal, but the design came from Natalie’s studio.

“Mr. Johnson!” Yuvan hurried to catch up with Cedric.

Natalie shook hands with Irwin, feeling a sense of relief. As she watched Cedric storm away in anger, her mood improved inexplicably.

“Please contact Dylan for the relevant details,‘ Irwin told Natalie.

Natalie nodded and said, “Thank you!”

This was her first major contract, and it undoubtedly boosted her confidence.

“Would you like to have a meal together?” Irwin suggested.

“Sure!” Natalie agreed, feeling it was only appropriate to treat such a significant client to a meal.

After being pampered and sheltered by Cedric for so long, she never expected that she would one day handle business affairs in the corporate world, just like him.

Cedric was in the parking lot. He had already contemplated countless ways to deal with Natalie, but when he saw her leaving with Irwin and even getting into Irwin’s car, he lost his composure entirely.

Yuvan and the driver could practically feel death approaching them. Watching Irwin’s car disappear into the distance left them with a deep sense of dread.

Follow them!

Cedric could hardly hear his own voice anymore.

In Irwin’s car, Natalie asked respectfully, “Mr. Frazier, is there a restaurant you prefer? I rarely dine out,

I’m unsure about your taste.”

SO

In the past, Cedric would arrange for everything when she went out with him. When she thought back on

those times, it was bittersweet.

During her time with the Johnson family, she didn’t care where they went as long as Cedric was with her.

So she didn’t remember the taste of their food, as her focus was always on Cedric.

“Everything has been arranged,” Irwin said.

Natalie nodded.

She didn’t know what to say to Irwin when suddenly…

Bang!

She lurched forward, and a forceful push on her arm kept her from hitting the front seat.

The driver in front was also startled. Dylan looked at the rearview mirror and respectfully informed Irwin, ”

Someone rear–ended us.”

Natalie and Irwin were both speechless after they processed what Dylan had said.

Rear–ended?!

It was a rare occurrence for them, as their choice of vehicles usually made other drivers avoid them.

After all, collisions with their cars could be costly.

But now…!

The driver and Dylan had already gotten out of the car, and the car door was soon pulled open.

They thought it was Dylan, but it was Cedric!

He exuded an icy aura as he stood outside Irwin’s car.

Looking at Natalie inside the car, he appeared as though he was catching a cheating spouse, and he was

the husband who had caught her in the act.

Get out! Cedric said in a domineering tone!

nd approached the side where Irwin was sitting

Cedric’s car?

Both Cedric and Irwin’s cars were Rolls–Royce Phantom.

Anyone could imagine the scene outside, which was now in complete chaos!

Irwin glanced at Natalie. She had never been this worked up before and looked apologetically at him. “I’m

so sorry.

“It’s not your fault,” Irwin said, his tone serious and cold.

Cedric had already left. Natalie knew that if she didn’t get out of the car, there would likely be further

trouble.

“I’ll have to postpone our meal together, Natalie said.

Compared to Cedric’s reactions, Irwin seemed as if he didn’t care at all. When Natalie got out of the car, Dylan acted quickly and had another car brought over.

Before getting into the car, Irwin looked at Natalie and asked, “Do you need a ride?”

Natalie was startled.

This attention wasn’t a good thing at this moment.

From where Natalie was standing, she couldn’t see Cedric asserting his dominance in a strong and domineering manner as he stood behind her.

Without waiting for Natalie to respond, Irwin smiled mockingly at Cedric and said, “I see you have your moments too.”

Natalie and Cedric were both speechless at the man’s words.

Before Cedric could react, Irwin had already gotten into the car. The car sped away, making the people left behind look even more disheveled.

Natalie turned around and saw Cedric standing behind her. She was suddenly irritated and felt that he was an eyesore.

She had no intention of getting involved with him, so she turned and walked away.

However, he grabbed her wrist before she could move away. “Stop!”

Was she treating him like he didn’t exist?!

Karina hadn’t been in the same car with Natalie and had just arrived. She was shocked by the scene and

came over to Natalie, asking., “Do you want to go back?”

Natalie nodded. “Yes.”

She was just about to leave, but the grip on her wrist tightened. Natalie turned back to look at Cedric

indifferently.

Her gaze was as if she was looking at a stranger.

“Could you let go?”

Her indifference further provoked Cedric, who was already angry. He pushed her into the car he had

crashed earlier and shouted, “Drive!”

“You’re crazy!” Natalie yelled.

In the next moment, Cedric pounced on her and pressed her tightly into the spacious back seat.

Natalie felt embarrassed and furious!

She almost slapped Cedric, but he grabbed her hand forcefully and stopped her.

“What were you two doing in the car just now?”

“None of your business–Mmph!”

She was cut off as Cedric pressed his l*ps hard against hers.

The k*ss and touch felt so familiar.

There was a time when she had really liked his k*sses.

But now, just the thought of him treating other women the same way made her feel sick.

But a man as solid as a mountain. How could she resist him?

The surroundings outside passed by in a blur, and the inside of the car was in chaos. Cedric had never been so crazed to the point of wanting to kill Natalie.

But today, he had completely lost control because of her.

When they arrived at Scarlet Villa, Yuvan and the driver instantly abandoned the car.

Lately, they had learned a particular skill when around Cedric–the skill of survivall

Natalie’s b*dy was limp and in pain.

When Cedric carried her out of the car, he whispered in her ear, “If you dare to leave again, I’ll break your

legs.”

Thinking back, Natalie hadn’t been very obedient during this time.

“Why are you keeping me?”

Didn’t Cedric already consider her a malicious woman?

Why didn’t he just agree to the divorce?

Cedric lowered his head and looked at the petite woman in his arms.

His tone was deep as he replied, “You’ve poisoned me, and it isn’t so easy to get rid of it.”

Natalie’s heart trembled.

The man who had just wanted to kill her was now so gentle, as if he had gone back to how he used to be before Isabella.

But Natalie knew it was just an illusion!
