Chapter 561 Grandpa and Mom
Chapter 561 Grandpa and Mom
After that talk, Iris took Connie back home.
It was Connie’s first time being in a mansion. She was electrified by its magnificence and grandeur.
“This is your grandfather,” Iris said as she pointed at Victor, who was bedridden.
Iris also bought branded clothes for Connie to match Connie’s new status.
“Your daughter’s here, so you may say your final wishes now, Dad,” Iris said to Victor.
But Victor was staring at Connie.
“Grandpa!” Connie exclaimed in a melancholy tone, rushing to Victor.
She was an actress, after all. Putting on a charade came naturally to her.
She knelt down by the bed and continued somberly, “It’s all my fault! I should have visited you earlier.”
Victor remained in the same position, and his expression didn’t change at all.
After a while, he finally lifted his fingers weakly and pointed shakily to a place upstairs.
If it weren’t for the money, Victor would’ve died a long time ago.
Later, Iris brought Connie to the attic.
There, Connie saw a woman sitting on the bed.
Her first impression was that the woman was an incredible beauty. Although the woman was
supposedly Iris’s twin, she carried a wholly different aura.
The attic was oddly small and packed.
The woman turned before looking at both of them.
“Sister, I’m here to visit you. Do you remember who this is? She’s twenty-eight years old now.” Iris sat
by the bed as she spoke. “She’s your daughter, Jade.”
The woman started mumbling, “Jade, Jade…”
It was as if she was trying to recall a painful memory.
“Mom, I missed you.” Connie started crying.
The real Iris couldn’t believe that Connie was her actual daughter.
She had been mentally tortured for the past thirty years, and couldn’t register the current situation.
“It’s me, Mom! Look at me.” Connie then showed her the ring.
This was the ring Iris had given to her.
Previously, there were two identical rings. However, one was thrown into the water by Clarissa, while
the other one was kept by Iris until now. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
The real Iris seemed to be recalling pieces of memories when she saw the ring.
